Couchbase Database Engineer

IDT is looking for a rock star Database Engineer to join our database services team. If you are highly motivated, ambitious, ready to learn and make a direct impact, this is your opportunity!

The individual in this role will perform database analysis, design and administration functions to deliver on strategic projects specific to organizational goals.

The ideal candidate would have in-depth experience with Couchbase / MongoDB technologies in an enterprise environment. 

Responsibilities:

- Working with developers for designing database objects and SQL queries.

- Performance monitoring.

- Cluster Software installation, configuration, patches, upgrades.

- Own database changes, tuning and managing XDCR.

- Backup and recovery.

- On call 24/7 support with other team members. 

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Couchbase Database administration in a production environment.
• Experience with Couchbase clusters, XDCR, optimizing Couchbase queries and indexes, services like Query, Index, Data.
• Good knowledge and experience in Couchbase Troubleshooting, object design and backup / recovery.
• Ability to handle 99.9% uptime and 24/7 support.
• Experience with database clusters hosted on Linux.
• Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of 6-8 years of overall database administration experience.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with MongoDB / MySQL / PostgreSQL / Oracle.
• Experience with Amazon RDS platform.
• Prior experience with System / Network administration.
