Creative Design Intern

Our Creative team is helping lead the industry into this new era by providing thoughtful insights and useful information for IT, security and risk management professionals. Tanium is looking for a creative design intern to play a key role in helping create engaging and effective content to drive our marketing engine.

Reporting to the Senior Designer, this role will help manage and uplift the Tanium brand. You will support the design process for creating MVPs, website design, video editing, animation, icon design, event graphics, infographics, print, and digital collateral. You will manage content projects, with opportunities to design content as it moves through production.

While you need to have strong design skills, you should also understand the fundamentals of design including but not limited to hierarchy, composition, problem-solving, layout, typography, design accessibility, and communication skills. Additional knowledge of cybersecurity is also helpful but not required.

What you'll do: 

• Become familiar with brand guidelines, images, components, overall brand identity, and how it elevates our marketing design.
• Help ensure content quality and consistent visual design and messaging.
• Take on unique projects to expand the scope of our content marketing efforts.
• Has the ability to learn new software, if needed, to accomplish projects.
• Works from concept to completion on a multitude of projects. This includes defining the problem, researching, prototyping, improving, and implementing.
• Prepares production-ready files for print and digital.

We're looking for someone who is:

• Authorized to work in the U.S. now and in the future
• Available to work full-time from June 12, 2023 to August 18, 2023 
• A currently enrolled undergraduate student with a competitive GPA
• Graduating Spring 2024 or Fall 2023
• Portfolio required
• A strong baseline in visual and/or interaction design skills
• Experience with the Adobe Creative Cloud applications
• Ability to receive and give feedback
• Self-driven and eager to learn
• Strong passion for design and problem solving
• Ability to work in a fast-paced but friendly environment
• Ability to work cross-functionally and globally
• Microsoft Word and Powerpoint experience a plus
• Knowledge of animation and video footage editing is a plus
