Job Description
Bungie is seeking a talented and passionate Creative Lead for an exciting and unique opportunity within the studio. We are searching for an experienced leader with a desire to build world-class brands backed by a breadth of experience in various creative disciplines. As Creative Lead, you will guide a partner team that is licensing Bungie IP across a variety of content. You will drive the standards that maintain the quality and consistency of the IP, while giving our partner enough freedom to meet the needs of players across global markets. The Creative Lead guides and is part of a creative support team at Bungie and must deliver timely feedback at the right level-of-detail while ensuring that the rest of Bungie's creative licensing team is doing the same. The Creative Lead also serves as a bridge to share knowledge and learnings across companies.
The Creative Lead is accountable to the Franchise Creative Director to ensure that the project fits neatly within the IP and our intended positioning within the overall Bungie portfolio. The Creative Lead is also accountable to the License Project Lead.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated and passionate organizer of people, brands, and process. They have knowledge on a breadth of creative disciplines, including design, audio, art, and narrative.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Maintain Bungie IP quality and consistency while working with an external partner. Establish and enforce guidelines with our Partner team regarding what is core to the IP, and what can be changed
· Drive the group of Bungie creatives working with partner studios on development, ensuring that the team is engaging with our Partner at an appropriate level of detail
· Work closely with the narrative lead to guide the narrative vision for the project
· Work closely with the art lead to guide the artistic vision for the project
· Review project progress at key milestones and assess whether it is meeting the project and IP goals
· Learn from the Partner team throughout development to share learnings broadly at Bungie
· Coordinate with the Franchise Creative Director to ensure the project stays aligned with Bungie's broader IP and creative strategies
· Identify and escalate any IP conflicts across franchise
REQUIRED SKILLS
· Games experience in a creative leadership role
· Exceptional communication with external partners
· Social intelligence, great interpersonal skills, and empathy for creative teams
· Ability to handle ambiguity, including effectively leading a team in spite of that ambiguity
· Willingness to travel to China and host visits from the Partner team on a regular cadence (likely every 2-3 months)
· Willingness to work outside of core hours for conference calls with Partner team (typically 6-8 PM PST)
· Experience working with external partners preferred
· Experience working on a live game ("game as a service") preferred
· Chinese language skills are a plus

- 20 days of accrued time-off in the form of PTO and sabbatical days, depending on the level of the position
