We’re looking for a Threat Detection Analyst that will help us to support the Risk - program by enhancing prevention and detection systems and rules focused on account takeover (ATO), cyber fraud and identity theft risks. This role will be responsible for providing a wide range of analytical support to prevent, detect and mitigate account takeover.

Our ideal candidate will have significant experience and knowledge in risk identification, threat research, and strategy development of the controls and processes for a risk-account takeover program. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Build and optimize a threat detection and defense portfolio  focused on preventing identity theft and account takeover. 
  • Analyze large data sets to identify, implement, and manage Account takeover and cyber fraud  risk rules
  • Partner closely with Risk & Trust teams to build and execute an industry-leading ATO and cyber fraud defense strategy 
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Data Science and Product team to implement ATO/Cyber Risk application security protocols  and work on short to medium term roadmaps 
  • Act as subject matter expert in regards to ATO & Cyber fraud for internal stakeholders
  • Work with Operation teams to train analysts on emerging  behaviors and tactics 

What you’ll need: 

  • 5+ years Risk experience focused on ATO.  eComm, marketplace or financial services space preferred
  • 3+ years experience building/managing cyber fraud rules, policies & strategies
  • Experience and understanding of cyber threats and security solutions 
  • Proficient in SQL with 3+ years of experience querying databases and analyzing large datasets 
  • Broad understanding of the marketplace competitive landscape and what industry standard is for mitigating cyber fraud, identity theft & ATO
  • Strong ability to define success metrics and develop KPI/KRI. 
  • Excellent communication, verbal, and writing skills. 
  • Ability to work fluidly in a collaborative, team-based setting within a high-growth technology company.
