Cyber Physical Systems Group Lead- Scalable Effects and Characterization (SEC)

STR is hiring a Group Lead in the Scalable Effects & Characterization (SEC) group. The position requires an understanding of the national security Cyber marketplace, technologies, and competitive landscape, an appreciation of the STR mission, business model, and values, as well as the ability to build teams, communicate internally and externally, and collaborate across divisions.
Duties will include:

• Managing a complex portfolio of Cyber capability development projects
• Developing and maintaining customer relationships
• Expanding the existing base of business and acquiring new customers
• Recruiting, training, and retaining skilled Cyber Engineers
• Overseeing technical project execution and quality assurance
• Interacting effectively with all business operations functions
• Managing group financial performance against P&L targets
• Developing and refining the group's strategy
• Managing a staff of ~20 people, including a Deputy Group Lead, an Operations Lead and Team Leads
• Delegating a subset of these responsibilities to a Deputy, while remaining accountable for all aspects of the group's performance
• Build an effective management team resulting in a positive environment for group staff, and enhanced performance for customers

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must be a US Citizen

• Current TS/SSBI with the ability to obtain SCI. Candidates with current SCI preferred
• The responsibilities of this position require physical access to government networks and secure spaces for customer communications, review of briefings and deliverables, and discussions with technical staff

• Demonstrated technological or operational expertise in Cyber-relevant national security fields
• Demonstrated organizational leadership and substantial management experience
• Demonstrated business leadership capability
• Substantial experience with business development, through relationship-based program building and/or technical proposal development
• Effective collaboration and communication skills
• Effective problem-solving skills to triage issues and identify appropriate courses of action
