EVALUATIONS:
Qualifications
- A 4-year degree in Early Childhood Education or Child/Youth Development or a related field such as Elementary Education, Special Education, Family and Consumer Science (Early Childhood emphasis) AND 5 years of full time experience working with children and youth.
- Knowledge of early childhood or youth education principles, concepts, and techniques to develop, interpret, monitor, and evaluate the execution of curriculum and age-appropriate activities.
- Knowledge of adult learning techniques and strategies and experience training adult learners.
- Must have the ability to coach and develop team members.
- Prior experience with training design and delivery required, as is experience managing and developing trainers/coaches within a child and youth program or education setting is preferred.
- Proven effective program and curricula skills. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated knowledge of Curriculum design, adult learning theory, and training methods. Learning Management System experience is preferred.
- Ability to support DoD certification, accreditation, and staff credentialing (Child Development Associate (CDA), Associate of Arts (AA) Degree) by ensuring that required
- training is administered and successfully accomplished to meet statutory and program requirements.
- Must have the ability to provide guidance and leadership to employees and providers. Ability to identify and respond to emergency situations including evacuations, child illness, and physical and emotional disorders.
Must be able to obtain and maintain TIER-1 Child Care (CNACI) background checks which are required for positions that involve working with children under 18 years of age.
