We are seeking a Data Analyst I to join our Global Market Intelligence Center of Excellence (GMI - COE) team reporting to Abbott Medical Device Corporate Finance. In this role, the Data Analyst will help to create and manage reports and analytic solutions that turn financial and market data into knowledge for the business to support modeling. This Analyst works closely with Marketing, Finance and Sales teams across all the Abbott Medical Device divisions. This new team member will have an analytical and problem-solving aptitude and be an excellent communicator capable of working directly with end-users to understand their needs.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Translate business needs into technical specifications. Requirements gathering and documentation from extensive interaction with users.
• Design, build and deploy solutions and reports using Power BI
• Process the data required to maintain and support the data platforms and the analysis of the market trends/market share for Abbott's med devices business units
• Create visualizations, charts, and reports for requested projects in a timely and accurate manner
• Conduct validation/testing and troubleshoot data issues in existing reports
• Develops ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) processes
• Evaluate and improve existing reports and other automation
• Develop and update technical documentation
• Acquire a working knowledge of existing technical processes and apply this knowledge to assigned tasks and projects
• Responsible for understanding communicated design requirements and turning that into usable, dynamic reports

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and/or Information Technology
• 1 year related experience

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Management, Finance or a related field
• Skills in financial/business forecasting, financial analysis, and/or data analytics
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Query, Power Pivot, and Pivot Tables
• Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Development experience with Microsoft's Power BI platform and basic data modeling and SQL Server maintenance experience a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Python and or R languages a plus
• Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
• Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and financial/business acumen
