Data and AI/MLOps Architect (Boston)

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data and AI/MLOps Architect to join our mid-size company in a startup-like environment. This is a unique opportunity to work with different stakeholders across Fusion Worldwide and its ecommerce business unit, to deliver insights and recommendations that drive growth and innovation by providing data solutions to a variety of complex business matters. You will be responsible for developing and executing our data strategy, owning the data and analytics platform, and driving the roadmap for various data-driven initiatives, lead impactful data projects, program, and strategic initiatives while building a team that could include outside agency support. You will work closely with Data Science, Data Analytics, AI/ML, Data Engineering, ETL, Business Intelligence/Data Reporting areas.

What You Can Do For Us: 

• Develop and execute the data strategy to support the company's business objectives, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals.
• Own and manage the data and analytics platform, ensuring its scalability, reliability, and performance. working closely with business customers to scope, develop, implement, and monitor solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data requirements and design robust data solutions that meet their needs, with a focus on B2B Sales, e-commerce, and supply chain domains.
• Design and implement data architectures, data models, data pipelines, and data integration processes using Azure cloud-native technologies.
• Serve as analytics generalist including competitor data mining, data solutions, customer data and user journeys in the areas of e-Commerce, Sales, Purchasing, Finance, Operations, Product, CRM, Marketing, Warehouse management and logistics etc. to help drive the top and bottom lines.
• Define and enforce data governance policies and best practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
• Oversee the performance and SLA of Business Intelligence/Data reporting using Power BI, with an understanding of the specific needs and challenges.
• Collaborate with Data Analytics and Business Intelligence teams to deliver accurate and timely reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI, tailored to the needs of various stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement of data engineering and ETL processes to enhance efficiency, scalability, and data quality.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines, data transformations, and data aggregations to meet SLAs and performance targets.
• Stay up to date with emerging trends and advancements in data technologies, open-source tools, and frameworks for Data Science and AI/ML Ops
• Evaluate and incorporate relevant open-source technologies into the company's data ecosystem to enhance Data Science and AI/ML Ops capabilities.
• Lead and mentor Data scientists, Data Analytics and ETL engineers.

Who We're Looking For: 

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Math, Economics, Statistics, or other quantitative fields or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data and AI/ML Ops Architect, with a focus on designing and implementing data solutions in cloud.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Azure cloud-native data technologies such as Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure SQL Database.
• In-depth understanding of data modeling, data integration, and data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Experience with ETL processes, data engineering, and data pipeline development.
• Familiarity with open-source technologies such as Apache Spark, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn for Data Science and AI/ML Ops.
• Proficient in SQL and one or more programming languages like Python or R or Scala.
• Knowledge of data governance principles, data security, and regulatory compliance, with an understanding of their implications.
• Experience with Google Analytics Suite, HubSpot, CDP etc.
• Domain experience in the B2B Sales, e-commerce, and supply chain sectors.
• Excellent Leadership and vendor management skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of Power BI features, capabilities, and best practices for designing and delivering impactful visualizations and reports.
