The ML engineers from the Business Intelligence team explore the big data from Office 365 operation and support in search of consistent patterns and systematic relationships (connect the dots) across all data sources involved. The goal of this team is to predict trends, find insides and produce actionable, trustworthy recommendations and decisions for Office 365 operation and modern support, which is curried on through an analytical modelling process based on machine learning by processing structured, semi-structed and unstructured data. Work on an end-end AI+HI feature included but not limited to data extraction, data validation, pipeline, ML model development & depolyment, collect feedback and run impact analysis and present results to stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesIn terms of business accountability this role is expected to directly contribute to the operation optimization of Office 365 operation and modern support through delivering predictive models and inside discovery, building machine learning driven automated data processes (such as pre-processing, feature extractions),various user traffic forecasts. Deploy Machine learning/Deep learning models at production scale.Work with various internal platform and integrate ML/Deep learning model results. Work with SWE teams on MLOPs including but not limited to secure access of ML models, business impact and stake holder presentation. Understanding IDEAS commercial and consumer telematic and business metrics data for M365 workloads. Validate data for various growth programs. Create datamodels to identify growth program impact on various KPIs. Verify impact analysis results.Work with Finance team for ROI analysis of growth initatives. As a people manager this role needs to lead a small team to deliver business impacts by being measured via OKRs and to contribute Microsoft culure building.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
  • 5-7+ years (including MS program or PhD program) of experience working with large data sets or doing large scale quantitative analysis and predictive moldering work.
  • Master's degree, or PhD's degree in Computer Science.
  • Experience processing large data sets through statistical software (ex. R, SAS) and program language (ex, Python), or other methods.
  • Strong algorithmic problem-solving skills.
  • Fundamental understanding of statistics, transformer modelling, regression, classification, and optimization is a core requirement.
  • Experience with one or more of the commercial or open source statistical and various machine learning software.
  • Experience working with strong SQL skill, Spark, TensorFlow,Pytorch, scope, Kusto, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in various NLP tasks.
  • Experience working on various forecast tasks is a big plus.
  • Recommendation engines.
  • Experience with Azure development & deployment stacks, hands on experience with building ML engine pipeline, deploy ML model at production scale for global regions.
  • Able to complete Privacy & Security Review for ML architecture and API.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Work with PM teams to run ROI/ Impact analysis, present results to LT & SLT.
