Data Engineer

This person will be working within the Data Engineering Analytics Group on the Data Warehouse team. You will be responsible for development, implementation, and maintenance of our enterprise data warehouse (EDW). We are looking for an individual who can contribute immediately to providing world class data solutions to support our multi-tenant, global reporting platform.

Key Responsibilities / Performance Requirements:

• Creating and maintaining ETL and reporting processes for the enterprise data warehouse using a range of data tools (SSIS, Talend, etc.)
• Developing and implementing Business Intelligence strategies and processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity
• Working with various internal stakeholders to implement scalable data solutions.
• Supporting operation and expansion of reporting environment.
• Monitoring performance and reliability of ETL processes and global reporting environments.
• Managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight.
• Blending new and existing data architectures, delivering highly accurate and scalable data models.

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

• 2 + years of Data Engineering Experience in the Data Warehousing space
• Expert understanding of SQL (PostgreSQL a plus)
• Experience with ETL/Data Orchestration Tools
• Experience with Columnar, MPP Analytical Cloud-based Data Warehouses (Snowflake)
• Comprehension of Python scripts and their capabilities
• Self-starter with the ability to gather requirements from stakeholders
• Ability to meet deadlines with high attention to detail
• Must want to work with and contribute to an awesome team
• Analytical and root cause analysis skills to provide consistent data integrity and quality assurance
• Experience with multiple slowly changing dimension types

Extra Credit:

• Experience with SSIS, Talend or other data integration tools.
• Experience building data pipelines utilizing Python
• Experience with enterprise scale Tableau Server environment
• Experience with enterprise scale Business Intelligence Reporting Methodologies
• Experience building Kafka pipelines

• SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• Enterprise Data Warehouse Design using Kimball Methodologies
• Snowflake DBMS Administration
• Python Development
