First San Francisco Partners has an immediate opening on a client project for a Data Governance Analyst who will support client engagements. This role will be an important part of the operationalization of the client data governance program. This is a 1099 contractor opportunity that could lead to future projects.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Participate in meetings, workshops, and interviews (as necessary) with Business and IT stakeholders to understand strategy and requirements
- Identifies requirements for data governance, integrity, quality and audit functions; including driving and developing new data governance guidelines.
- Collecting and analyzing the project's data governance requirements from meetings, research, and relevant documents, and transferring the same knowledge to project team.
- Provide quality assurance of all data governance operationalization deliverables
- Facilitate required interactions and meeting sessions and support overall logistics
- Supports and conducts client personnel training sessions as needed.
- Other tasks as directed by the project leads
- Prepare presentations and deliverables.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience working as a Business or Data Governance Analyst.
- 3+ years of experience in Data Governance work
- Excellent communication skills, presentation and interpersonal skills are required.
- A demonstrated track record of making a difference and adding value.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated.
- Ability to work and adjust to changing deadlines.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to develop relationships across the organization, working cross functionally to get results.
- Ability to present complex information in a simplified fashion to facilitate understanding and the ability to explain value of data governance to both business and technical stakeholders.
- Can effectively manipulate and analyze large amounts of data.
- The ability to understand data relationships.
- Proficient with MS Office products including Microsoft Project.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, CIS or related field.
Additional qualifications:
- Collibra knowledge a plus
- Familiarity with data management and analytical tools
