- Coordinate governance activities including Data Governance Council operations, workgroups facilitation, documentation of decisions, and maintenance of governance artifacts such as policies, standards, and glossaries.
- Partner with stakeholders to define and support data stewardship roles, integrate governance into project lifecycles, and ensure accountability across data domains and systems.
- Develop and enforce Power BI standards, governance practices, and quality controls to ensure consistency, accuracy, and scalability of business intelligence outputs.
- Design and deliver Power BI training programs and self-service analytics enablement initiatives to improve data literacy and reduce reliance on ad hoc reporting.
- Oversee data catalog, glossary, metadata management, and data quality initiatives, supporting continuous improvement of enterprise data reliability and trust.
- Serve as a key communicator of data governance strategy, translating complex concepts into accessible guidance for stakeholders across all organizational levels.
- 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, business intelligence, or related data disciplines, including ownership or maturation of enterprise governance frameworks.
- 3+ years of hands-on Power BI experience, including dashboard development, data modeling, DAX, workspace management, and report governance.
- Strong experience with data catalogs, business glossaries, metadata management, and data quality frameworks in complex organizational environments.
- Solid understanding of data architecture concepts such as medallion architecture, star schema design, and semantic/BI layer governance.
- Experience working with enterprise data platforms (e.g., Snowflake) and familiarity with MDM concepts and tools such as Reltio or similar systems.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to lead governance forums, training initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration in a matrixed environment.
- Strong organizational skills, adaptability, and ability to operate independently in ambiguous and evolving contexts.
- Competitive annual salary of $130,000 – $135,000.
- Remote-first work model with flexibility and occasional travel (approximately 5% annually).
- Comprehensive benefits package including medical, employer-paid dental, and optional vision coverage.
- Generous paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, bereavement leave, parental leave, and paid holidays.
- Strong retirement and financial benefits, including a 401(k) plan with generous employer contributions (up to 8% total match and contribution).
- Robust professional development opportunities including training programs, mentorship, and internal mobility.
- Access to a mission-driven, collaborative environment focused on data literacy, innovation, and continuous improvement.
