Job Description

Garner'sย mission is to transform the healthcare economy, delivering high quality and affordable care for all. By helping employers restructure their healthcare benefit to provide clear incentives and data-driven insights, we direct employees to higher quality and lower cost healthcare providers. The result is that patients get better health outcomes while doctors are rewarded for practicing well, not performing more procedures. We are backed by top-tier venture capital firms, are growing rapidly and looking to expand our team.

Weโ€™re looking for an ambitious Data Product Manager to join our team. This individual will help us improve our proprietary algorithms that rank individual doctor quality. These algorithms are a key component of the companyโ€™s product that significantly decreases healthcare costs while improving clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Maintain and improve our specialty-specific algorithms: Conduct deep research to measure the quality and efficiency of doctors across various specialties. This will consist of reading academic literature, talking to claims experts, and digging into our claims data
  • Develop a deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem: Keep a pulse on what is happening in the healthcare ecosystem more broadly to help inform prioritization decisions as well as inform the design of new products

The Ideal Candidate Has:

  • Strong interest in healthcare and a desire to learn more about the healthcare industry as well as clinical best practices
  • An aptitude to learn new technologies and tools quickly. Experience with SQL is a plus
  • 1+ year of experience in a fast-paced environment (e.g., product, consulting, banking)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and deliver high-quality work without much supervision
  • The ability to think in principles and frameworks to understand abstract problems
  • A desire to work in a rapidly evolving startup environment
  • A desire to be a part of our mission to improve the healthcare system

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $115,000 annually. Compensation for this role will depend on a variety of factors including qualifications, skills and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans.ย

If you are hired, we may require proof of full vaccination against COVID-19. Reasonable accommodations will be considered on a case-by-case basis for exemptions to this requirement, in accordance with applicable law.
