This role sits at the intersection of data science, experimentation, and business strategy, where advanced analytics directly shape how millions of customers discover and engage with personalized products. You will work within a highly collaborative, mission-driven environment focused on combining machine learning, causal inference, and behavioral data to generate actionable insights that improve decision-making across the organization. Acting as both an analyst and strategic partner, you will design experiments, build statistical models, and translate complex findings into clear narratives that influence product, marketing, and client experience strategies. You will also help develop self-service tools and analytical platforms that empower non-technical stakeholders to make data-driven decisions. This position offers high visibility and ownership, with the opportunity to work on ambiguous, high-impact problems from ideation through execution. Accountabilities:
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments and observational studies to generate causal insights that inform business strategy
- Develop and maintain statistical and machine learning models to solve complex, large-scale decision-making problems
- Define success metrics, build analytical frameworks, and translate findings into clear, actionable business recommendations
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Product, Styling, Client Support, and Engineering to drive data-informed decisions
- Build and enhance self-service analytics tools and dashboards to empower stakeholders across the organization
- Communicate complex analytical results through clear storytelling and executive-ready narratives
- Mentor and support other data scientists, contributing to team-wide technical excellence and best practices
- Work with multi-modal datasets, including customer behavior and product attributes, to uncover meaningful insights
- Drive end-to-end ownership of analytical projects from problem definition to delivery and impact measurement
- 2+ years of experience in a data science or advanced analytics role, ideally in e-commerce, retail, or consumer-focused industries
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field
- Strong proficiency in Python or R and advanced SQL in production or collaborative environments
- Solid foundation in experimentation design, A/B testing, and causal inference methodologies
- Ability to translate complex analytical results into clear, concise insights for business stakeholders
- Experience working with ambiguous, high-impact problems and driving projects independently from start to finish
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques and their application to real-world business problems
- Strong communication skills with a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Experience using AI tools to enhance productivity and streamline analytical workflows is highly valued
- Competitive salary range: $112,500 – $144,000 USD annually
