Database Specialist III

General Description:
Execute all functions relating to the successful procurement, research, editing, verifying, tracking, and posting incoming monthly distributor data and the maintenance of the GHX Market Intelligence data integrity. Provide support to Client Services and Sales through research, cleansing, standardizing and evaluation of data from electronic input to assure client deliverables contain accurate, high-quality data that reflects sales and market trends relevant to distributor and manufacturer products.
Responsibilities:

• Work with Customer Service and participating distributors to establish, maintain and process structures for incoming invoice data
• Establish QA/QC procedures for on-going procurement of data
• Routinely review and correct incoming files based on prior data and in conjunction with Client Services and individual distributor contacts
• Maintain translator tables for distributor manufacturer ids, provider types, and customer segments
• Track data to ensure completeness of incoming information and analyze to ensure accuracy and quality
• Resolve data discrepancies in conjunction with statistician and IT distributor contact
• Provide Distributor staff and Client Services staff with estimates of usability of data and if necessary, time estimates for obtaining corrections to files
• Communicate with support/CSMs and distributors by providing reports relevant to data procurement
• Work with IT in any work related to the establishment pre/front/backend software rewrites/testing/requirements
• Coordinate all individual work with relevant staff including Customer Service, Sales, GHX management and other Production
• Function as the "go to" resource for distributor data procurement
• Train backup staff in proper procedures and techniques

Work Experience Requirements:

• Two or more years' experience with MS Office Suite of products
• Skilled in Web/Internet research tools
• 2+ years of experience in data procurement and/or programming
• Proven ability to work within a team environment and with external clients
• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills; detail oriented
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Education Requirements

• BA/BS in relevant field

Estimated salary range: $60,300 - $75,300
The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the GHX's salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of GHX's total compensation package for employees.
