About the Team

You'll join our growing Finance team and report directly to the Senior Director of FP&A. Our mission is to maximize Typeform’s value to reach its full potential in a grounded, risk-controlled, collaborative and efficient way. You’ll serve as an integral member of the team to establish and own the deal structuring workstream.

About the Role

Your mission will be to advise sales and customer success teams on deal structuring, quoting, pricing, commercial negotiations and booking validations for all open opportunities in the sales pipeline. The Deal Desk Specialist will work cross functionally with Sales, Finance, Product, Legal, Success and others and will ensure that all relevant stakeholders are involved in the contracting process.

Things you will do:
  • Design, define and implement workflows, processes, and automation to increase the effectiveness of Deal Desk
  • Act as a trusted advisor in the sales contracting process and subject matter expert on Deal Desk.
  • Assist/guide the sales team in building non-standard or complex orders that align with our company strategy and that maximize value for Typeform, as well as in defining revenue recognition for the deal along with our Finance team.
  • Partner with cross-functional departments to learn business needs and help facilitate the deal process (e.g. structuring deals/contracts, approvals, and order management)
  • Educate sales team and train new hires on Deal Desk processes and best practices to ensure that approvals, policies and procedures are properly followed and well documented.
  • Review all deals previous to being sent to our customers for accurate terms, billing information and pricing to ensure that data included in contracts aligns with Typeform's internal systems, policies, and strategy.
  • Ensure that all deals have flown through the defined approval process.
  • Process sales orders ensuring the customer is provisioned the proper subscription and add-on as per the legal contract (provisioning accounts)
  • Attend customers’ queries in relation to invoicing, billing addresses and documentation required to process payments as well as registration in customers’ supplier portals. 
  • Regular credit collection check and follow up with customers and CSM team
  • Ensure Looker, Chargebee, Anaplan and legal contracts are aligned and reconciled, so that financial reporting on closed deals is accurate.
  • Own data integrity of Sales and Customer Success teams reporting
  • Partner with FP&A to ensure reporting needs from Deal Desk are met.
What you already bring to the table:
  • You have 5+ years of working experience in a Deal Desk role within B2B SaaS industry
  • You have strong working knowledge of Salesforce.com
  • You have experience working with DocuSign, Pandadoc, Chargebee, and Google Sheets.
  • You have a solid Financial background and know the financial implications of all the different deals terms and conditions
  • You’re tech-savvy and passionate about learning new tools, systems, and processes
  • You’re a team player who loves to collaborate cross-functionally and globally to support the broader team's goals
  • You have exemplary written and verbal communication skills
  • You have a proven ability to build strong, collaborative working relationships with internal stakeholders
  • You’re an innate problem solver with an enthusiastic "roll up your sleeves" mentality
  • You’re extremely organized and able to work on both long-term projects and requests that require a quick turn around
