As a Decision Scientist, you will be responsible for providing actionable and data-driven recommendations to internal stakeholders. You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside talented individuals and understand the business in-depth, support and challenge strategic options, and build state-of-the-art tools to drive value throughout our business.
This position is located in Denver, Colorado or with the option of full-time remote. Candidates must live in the United States.
What you will be doing:
Support projects to build causal inference models (A/B testing), automation of existing reports and deliverables, machine learning models, root cause analysis of upstream data issues, and market analysis case studies
Work cross-functionally to analyze large amounts of behavioral and transaction data to provide clients with actionable insights about Ibotta’s users and campaign performance
Communicate complex analyses and data intricacies in a clear, concise manner both internally as well as to external clients
Collaborate with business stakeholders and clients to provide insightful reporting and dashboards

What we are looking for:
2+ years practical work experience in an analytics role
Bachelor’s degree in analytics/mathematics/statistics/data science/computer science/economics
Proven expertise with data handling, processing, statistical and analytical skills
Ability to think creatively and provide thoughtful, agile insights
Ability to develop, maintain, automate, visualize, analyze, and communicate reporting to management
In-depth experience with SQL required
Experience using modern data analysis tools (such as R, Python, Hive/Presto) required
Ability to work collaboratively throughout the organization to drive towards common goals
Preferred:
Experience with modern BI tools (e.g., Looker, Mode, Tableau)
Experience with Git/GitHub
Experience with data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes

Additional Details:
This position is located in Denver, CO or with the option of full-time remote and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Lifestyle Spending Account, 401k match, and equity.
Base compensation range: $80,000 - $100,000. This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience.
