As the Diversity, Equity,  Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) Program Manager, this role will be responsible for working closely with the DEIB Strategic Advisor and the Chief People Officer in developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive DEI programs and initiatives within GumGum.  Please note that this is a is a 9 month contract.

Reporting to the Chief People Officer and Strategic DEIB Consultant and working alongside GumGum’s DEIB Advisory Board, The DEIB Program Manager will work to build an inclusive culture, driving equitable practices, and promoting diversity at all levels of the organization. By collaborating with various stakeholders, including our Executive Team and cross-functional teams, you will shape strategies, drive initiatives, and measure progress toward our DEIB goals.

Note: GumGum currently operates in a ‘work from home’ virtual environment with sporadic opportunities for in-person business and morale events (health guidelines permitting). There will not be any requirement to go into the office on a daily basis moving forward. GumGum is only open to hiring remote candidates who are residents in the following states: AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KY, MA, MD, MI, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, and MN.

What You'll Achieve

  • In close consultation with the DEIB Strategic Advisor,
    • Program management of GumGum’s DEIB Programs and Initiatives:
      • Coordinate all DEIB-related training programs including master calendar, scheduling, invites, attendance, etc. 
      • Manage all logistics related to GumGum's presence at career fairs, DEIB conferences and related; Research & identify new solutions as well
      • Support the DEIB Consultant & Advisor to keep track of, and synthesize, the various DEIB initiatives occurring across the business, both internal & external 
      • Administer DEIB surveys that the DEIB Consultant & Advisor would like to implement; help analyze results
    • Work with Employee Resource Groups to support efforts to execute and improve inclusion and belonging programs
      • Periodically attend the various ERGs to keep a pulse on progress / needs 
      • Coordinate DEIB programming, events, training, calendaring, logistics, etc. that emerge from ERGs, VOICE Coalition, DEIB Advisory Board, and DEIB Consultant & Advisor 
      • Field ideas and questions from across the organization in the area of DEIB
    • Measure and report on DEIB Progress using data led reporting
      • Pull internal DEIB metrics and review with DEIB Consultant & Advisor and CPO regularly 
      • Help to manage the DEIB budget globally
    • Create content for DEIB internal and external communications
      • Draft DEIB messaging for/with the DEIB Consultant, including updates on programming, internal memos from leadership, and eventually a DEIB impact report 
      • Coordinate DEIB social media posts on behalf of GumGum to amplify programming, events & initiatives 
      • Prepare slides for Company Calls (e.g., All-Hands Meetings) in the area of DEIB updates
    • Identify ideas & solutions that will further GumGum's DEIB strategies and goals 
    • Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and legal developments related to diversity, equity,  inclusion, and belonging, and incorporate relevant insights into program design and implementation
    • Other People Team (HR) projects as time allows across compensation, HR operations, HR business partnership, employee engagement & culture, talent acquisition, etc.

Skills You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Human Resources, Organizational Development, Social Sciences) or equivalent work experience.
  • Professional certifications in DEI or related fields (e.g., Certified Diversity Professional, Certified Diversity Executive) are a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience within a DEIB program management role
  • Proven experience in developing, supporting and implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies and programs within the tech industry.
  • Deep understanding of diversity and inclusion concepts, practices, and challenges, particularly within a tech or fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable work environment
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices related to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and monitor programs effectively
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in measuring and reporting on DEI metrics and outcomes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify barriers and implement effective solutions
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable work environment
  • An awareness of the many facets of human diversity, coupled with a firm grasp of the principles of allyship and proven skill in this area
  • Strong consultative skills, including the ability to quickly establish relationships of trust with stakeholders at all levels and partner effectively across organizational boundaries
  • Ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • DEIB subject matter expert, taking a consultative and systematic approach to enable GumGum to achieve results
  • The ability to manage multiple complex projects and priorities simultaneously while effectively balancing program schedules and ad hoc requests
