Developer- Professional Services (Special Projects)

Position Overview

Help us build great software that supports our Professional Services team in delivering our service offerings, including our Managed Detection and Response (MDR) offering.

As part of our Special Projects team, Special Projects Developer will work on various initiatives including our in-house platform that is the interface between our consulting analysts and our MDR customers.  This position is for an individual who has one or more of the qualifications listed, with a preference to full-stack developers who are comfortable working on a small agile team.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively in a team with other engineers and product management
• Translate product requirements and concepts into software designs and implementation taking scalability, performance, operational efficiency into consideration 
• Evaluate and identify the correct approaches or technologies to use to solve problems
• Be comfortable writing and shipping code daily
• Provide technical leadership in addition to mentoring and encouraging other developers

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, or node.js
• Experience with Vue.js, React, or similar JavaScript frameworks
• Strong applied software development experience: you've built, broken, and fixed software applications
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments
• Experience with AWS Lambda and API Gateways services
• Experience with a source control system, preferably Git
• Experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL

Desirable

• Experience as a full-stack software engineer
• Knowledge of networking and security fundamentals
• Python
• AWS EC2, S3 services

Education

• B. S. or M.S. in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

Vectra Total Rewards 

Our competitive total rewards package includes cash compensation within the following range: Base Pay USD 93,800 - 181,400. Actual pay for this position may vary based on the hired candidate’s location, experience and relevant incumbent pay position.

Should sick leave exceed 7 consecutive days, employees are eligible to receive up to 100% of their base pay for the first 10 weeks of qualified sick leave/disability.
