Development Engineer

This role is focused on designing, building, and optimizing enterprise integration solutions using SAP Cloud technologies within a fast-paced digital transformation environment. You will contribute to the development of scalable integration architectures that connect SAP and non-SAP systems across complex enterprise landscapes. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will help translate business requirements into robust technical solutions that improve data flow, system efficiency, and operational performance. The position involves hands-on work with SAP Integration Suite, APIs, and multiple integration adapters, along with participation in migration initiatives from legacy middleware platforms. You will also play a key role in troubleshooting, performance optimization, and ensuring reliable production integrations. This is a highly collaborative engineering environment where innovation, technical depth, and problem-solving directly shape enterprise systems.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end SAP integration solutions and ensuring seamless connectivity across enterprise applications.

• Design, develop, and implement integration solutions using SAP Integration Suite to connect SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Build and maintain APIs, ensuring secure and efficient data exchange between enterprise applications.
• Develop integrations using adapters such as SFTP, HTTPS, Mail, AMQP, and Advanced Event Mesh.
• Support migration initiatives from legacy middleware platforms to SAP Integration Suite.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across production and non-production environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable integration solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and support continuous improvement of integration processes.
• Stay updated on SAP technologies and recommend enhancements to improve system performance and architecture.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to team capability building when required.

Requirements

This position requires strong SAP integration expertise combined with solid software engineering and problem-solving skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in SAP Integration Suite, SAP CPI, or SAP PO development.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP CPI adapters, mappings, and scripting.
• Experience working with SAP S/4HANA and integration across SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Strong understanding of API management principles and integration architecture best practices.
• Familiarity with data formats and protocols such as XML, JSON, SOAP, and REST.
• Experience in system migration projects (e.g., ECC to S/4HANA transformations).
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
