DevOps Engineer

We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team as part of our Engineering group. You will be a member of the DevOps team, which has day to day and strategic responsibility for the provisioning, maintenance, security and scalability of the infrastructure, services and tools that power the Market Share platform. You will respond to support incidents, work on migration and automation projects, and collaborate with engineering teams in evolving the Market Share product. Market Share promotes a "DevOps" culture in Product Development, which means you will work in collaboration with development teams on a daily basis. For us, "DevOps" is something we do, not something we put in job titles.

Key Responsibilities

• Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
• Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
• Working with software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and standards
• Investigate and resolve support tickets
• Identify and implement solutions for scaling, performance and reliability opportunities
• Monitoring the performance and reliability of the platform and responding to any active or potential issues
• Ensuring the security and integrity of the platform in line with security standards

This list is not exhaustive and there may be other activities you are required to deliver.

Your Experience

• Experience as a DevOps Engineer, SRE, SysAdmin or similar infrastructure engineering role
• Hands-on and in depth experience with Amazon Web Services, Kubernetes and Docker
• Python and Bash scripting skills
• Experience in supporting large MySQL and/or PostgreSQL installations
• Knowledge of Linux operating systems
• The ability to identify and debug performance and reliability issues in distributed systems
