About the Role:
The DevOps engineer will have expertise in development and monitoring of infrastructure (test and production environments). They will also need to be able to identify and solve problems performance- and security-related. In addition, they will be Proposing and implementing repetitive task automation. They will also need to collaborate with other team members on task development and implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the planning, implementation, and growth of the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) cloud infrastructure, supporting a Kubernetes Runtime environment used for the development of Cloud Native applications
- Build, release, and manage the configuration of all production systems
- Manage Kubernetes & associated services in GCP, in particular GKE
- Work alongside architecture and engineering teams to design and implement any scalable software services
- Ensure necessary system security by using best-in-class cloud security solutions
- Stay current with new technology options and vendor products, evaluating which ones would be a good fit for the company
- Implement continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for infrastructure as code
- Troubleshoot the system and solve problems across all platform and application domains and recommend process and architecture improvements
- Oversee pre-production acceptance testing to ensure the high quality of a company's services and product
- Edge computing experience and virtualization
- A solid background in Kubernetes administration
- Experience in using DevOps tools in a cloud environment, such as Terraform, Ansible, Docker, GitHub, Kubernetes, and Python.
- Experience using monitoring solutions like CloudWatch, GCP cloud ops suite, SumoLogic, and Prisma
- Experience in writing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), using tools like Python or Terraform
- Experience in troubleshooting distributed systems
Requirements

- 5+ years experience
- Demonstrable experience working with cross-functional application engineering teams
- Demonstrable experience working on teams and conveying technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to think one step ahead and act strategically
- A strong aptitude and interest in independent continuous learning, staying up to date on relevant technology, trends and practices.
