About The Role
We are seeking a diligent and dynamic Digital Asset Markets Analyst to join our team. This role will be critical to monitoring the state of digital asset markets and the Aptos DeFi ecosystem, and contributing to competitor analysis and strategic initiatives to grow the Aptos ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have deep domain expertise in digital asset markets, a basic understanding of DeFi, and be reliable and detail-oriented in assembling and analyzing hard-to-track data to produce actionable insights.
This role reports to the Aptos Foundation.
What you'll be doing:
- Monitor digital asset markets by checking multiple third-party data sources daily (e.g. Coingecko, CMC, Kaiko, Coinglass, etc.) and evaluating key metrics to continuously assess the competitive landscape
- Within digital asset markets monitoring, track cross-venue dynamics and geographic patterns across spot and derivatives markets
- Monitor existing key strategic partnerships across digital asset markets and DeFi
- Track metrics across the Aptos DeFi ecosystem, especially on the state of key Aptos DeFi pools and lending markets
- Assist leadership in synthesizing all of the above data into actionable weekly reports and presentations to drive decision making
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a professional trading / trading-adjacent role in the digital asset space
- Basic understanding of DeFi primitives and onchain liquidity
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
