Digital Coordinator - Smashbox Studios Brooklyn

Smashbox Studios is seeking a full-time Digital Coordinator to oversee all digital photo orders. We are looking for someone who is personable, has a technical photographic background, is detail oriented, and has great organizational and communication skills. The applicant must be a team oriented person who can prioritize, multitask and work independently while maintaining consistent attention to detail. An ideal candidate is positive, efficient, well presented, and prepared to engage discerning clients while maintaining professionalism and discretion at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the success of Smashbox Studios digital rental and technology operations
• Point of contact for in-person, telephone, and email rental requests
• Quickly prepare and send client estimates for approval
• Consult and reach out to clients and prospects to recommend gear options and services
• Maintain and update the digital rental calendar for location and studio jobs
• Attend to sub-rentals and uphold strong vendor relationships with other rental houses and other studios
• Digital / Computer Prep for all orders both in / out
• Provide digital support and answer tech questions for location and studio clients
• Maintain high level of presentation in Digital Department
• Field questions / concerns from clients and relay information / updates from the Digital Director and to our Dispatch Team.
• Coordinate with multiple departments to ensure an optimum client experience that elevates and upholds our brand
• Keep larger staff informed of logistical details pertinent to location and studio activity
• Provide quality control and track all incoming and outgoing rentals, documenting usage and possible damage
• Coordinate internal and external repairs

Requirements

• Ability to work on-site in Brooklyn, NY
• Experience working in a fast-pace environment
• Attention to detail, self starter, and team player
• Knowledge of and experience with DSLR / Mirrorless cameras, lenses and accessories
• Familiar with OS 10/11/12 and maintaining on-set computers
• Working knowledge of setting up a Capture One Session + Tethered shooting
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems
• Aptitude for learning and adopting modern processes
• Basic IT and Networking knowledge
• Experience in using inventory / rental tracking software.
• Highly detail oriented and expert at multitasking multiple jobs to perfection
• Understanding of high-end customer service requirements
• High standards of courtesy and efficiency
• Professionalism and grace in all interactions
• Acute awareness of presentation and detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven success in deadline driven environments.
• Knowledge of and experience with medium format cameras and Phase One digital backs is a plus
• Degree in photography / technology / art preferred

Benefits

The base salary for this position is $17-22/ hour. These numbers represent the low and high end of our salary range for this position. Salaries will vary depending on various factors which include, but are not limited to location, education, skills, experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees.
