Summary:

The Digital Engagement Automation Product Manager plays a critical role in delivering and maintaining our marketing automation product backlog and roadmap. This role understands marketing automation platforms and marketing data management and works across the business matrix to document functional requirements and processes to ensure that the product vision and goals are accomplished through the delivered digital capabilities. The role also represents the voice of the business within the marketing automation agile team to move delivery forward in alignment with overall product vision and strategy.

Essential Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Level I:

• Serve as lead liaison and business product owner for assigned digital product(s) and maintains understanding of the product roadmap and how this will contribute to the overall digital strategy and Marketing roadmap.

• Collaborate with Team Product Owners (TPOs) and Agile team members to complete required deliverables as part of the marketing automation platform intake and backlog management process.

• Lead the gathering and defining of high-level business requirements and the prioritization of the product backlog. Elicit requirements from business, marketing automation managers, and marketing stakeholders using requirements gathering meetings, marketing ROI and campaign insights, and business process analysis.

• Partner with the TPOs and agile delivery team on translating features into user stories and campaigns within a team's backlog and managing the rank and priority within the backlog so that it is reflective of stakeholder requirements and priorities.

• Drive and manage the solution concept development process to ensure the TPOs and data management teams understand the direction and vision for the product & features.

• Serves as subject matter expert on product capabilities, features, and functionality.

• Builds ongoing relationships with relevant business partners to ensure future support of assigned products and keeps key stakeholders informed throughout product lifecycle.

• Work with business subject matter experts to understand a product feature's rank, prioritize business needs, and plan solutions to ensure that each release provides value to end users.

• Works closely with the digital marketing managers, marketing automation managers, and digital analytics manager to create processes and tools that improve workflow and documentation of platform and product capability enhancements.

• Attends and actively participates in cross-functional meetings and projects.

• Builds, develops, and grows business relationships vital to the success of the products.

Level II: (in addition to Level I responsibilities)

• Maintains product and platform roadmaps and manages product features by actively contributing to enterprise digital strategy roadmap and backlog.

• Assists test architect with use and test cases and scenarios.

• Develops tools and processes to improve and optimize efficiency of campaign and communication execution.

• Works within practices and policies for writing, updating, and managing requirements to ensure repeatable processes and delivery of value.

• Understands and drives next best action delivery principles and planning.

Level III (in addition to Level II responsibilities):

• Possesses comprehensive understanding and knowledge of the entire digital product catalogue and design; able to identify and articulate the impact product changes could have to the overall digital product portfolio.

• Able to connect the dots between various stages of the products' lifecycles, keeping the team informed with regular overviews of the digital ecosystem.

• Applies advanced knowledge of product lifecycle management and knowledge of desired digital experience and health insurance industry to lead transformational digital product initiatives that span multiple functional areas and represent significant investment spend.

• Plays a lead role in projects that have significant impact to the company, both at strategic and execution levels. Able to influence and drive change among key stakeholders. Interacts regularly with business partners at Director/VP level, presenting opinions, recommendations and status.

Minimum Qualifications:

NOTE:

This description includes multiple levels of classification. The levels of classifications are differentiated by demonstrated knowledge, skills, and the ability to manage increasingly independent and/or complex assignments, broader responsibility, additional decision making and, in some cases, becoming a resource to others. New hires will be placed in the level for which they are most qualified based on their experience, credentials, and skills.

Level I:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Marketing, Digital Marketing or related field preferred.

• A minimum of three (3) years of related business experience. A combination of education and experience will be considered.

• Knowledge of Agile methodology and processes; previous experience as a Product Owner preferred.

• Knowledge of Pega CRM, Salesforce CRM and Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Digital Experience platforms such as Ion by Rocket Content and Liferay features and functionality preferred.

• Knowledge of marketing databases and marketing automation platform best practices and capability optimization required.

• Strong analytical, organizational and relationship building skills. Ability to analyze information from various sources.

• Experience independently managing long-term projects.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong presentation skills with the ability to present information in a clear and concise fashion.

• Ability to work independently and part of a strategic team.

• Ability to think strategically and deal effectively with all levels of leadership.

• Forward-thinking mindset, comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities and excellent influencing skills.

Level II (in addition to Level I):

• A minimum of six (6) years of related business experience of which two (2) or more years of experience as a Product Owner or Program manager, with demonstrated accomplishments delivering project features/capabilities.

• Knowledge of health care products and industry preferred.

• Knowledge of digital and direct marketing including email, SMS, direct mail, and web/landing page development.

Level III (in addition to Level II):

• A minimum of eight (8) years of related business experience of which three (3) or more years of experience as a Product Owner or Program manager, with demonstrated accomplishments delivering project features/capabilities.

• In-depth knowledge of health care products and industry.

Physical Requirements:

• Occasional travel required.
