About the Position: 

The Corporate Strategy and Development team at G-P holds a key role in helping shape the long-term strategic vision of the organization. We continue to challenge ourselves to solve top-of mind strategic questions, collaborating with leadership and experts across the organization. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, strategic, and innovative thinker passionate about the future of global remote work to be the Director, Corporate Strategy and Development.Reporting into our Vice President, Corporate Strategy & Development, and partnering closely with the Leadership Team, this is a highly impactful position in defining G-P’s long term strategic vision. 

What you will do: 

  • Reporting into the Corporate Strategy organization, this role works closely with the Vice President, Corporate Strategy and the Leadership team on the company's most important initiatives’ 
  • Provide valuable insight and analysis which will be used to assess the strategic direction of the company and will help execute on this strategic vision 
  • Direct, plan and implement the approach and objectives for the initiatives related to M&A, new product expansion, new geographic expansion, and new partnerships / JVs
  • Be the thought partner and trusted advisor to senior executives and business leaders by staying abreast of macroeconomic trends, regulatory developments and other public market information
  • Develop a robust understanding of the competitive landscape and industry trends through research, analysis and building relationships with relevant players in the ecosystem (e.g. bankers, advisors, consultants, companies, etc.)
  • Key to success in this position is the ability to work across the organization at all levels creating partnerships to drive growth; with direct accountability for business strategies that anticipate market changes and align with the company’s objectives
  • Project lead on running deeper diligence with potential targets to assess acquisition fit and alignment with investment thesis 
  • Assist in development of quantitative modeling, analyses, and presentation materials as required to support the growth initiatives 

 Success Factors: 

  • 8 to 10 years of work experience, preferably in prior strategy or corporate development work in SaaS tech company or coming from the traditional Analyst/Associate career path in management consulting firm 
  • Quantitative undergraduate degree (Engineering, Math, Sciences, Business Administration) plus full-time MBA from Top Tier institutions 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional peers and to switch gears appropriately when presenting initiatives to the Executive team 
  • Demonstrated track record of increasing levels of responsibility and scope of work in the career 
  • Prior roles that leveraged critical thinking (e.g., analyst, strategy consultant, design engineer, product management) 
  • Must be a doer, not just an idea person. Willingness to roll up sleeves and get dirty 
  • Critical thinking, the ability to dissect a problem into a set of structured thinking workstreams 
  • Ability to succinctly summarize the issues, strong PowerPoint and Memo-style skills required
