This senior leadership role sits at the intersection of data science, AI innovation, and large-scale cloud transformation. You will lead multi-team delivery efforts while shaping the technical vision for enterprise-grade Azure data and AI programs. The role combines hands-on architectural leadership with people management, requiring you to guide senior architects and engineering teams toward scalable, production-ready solutions. You will define modernization strategies, data and AI frameworks, and reusable architecture patterns that drive consistency across complex programs. Acting as a key technical advisor, you will translate business goals into AI-driven and data-centric roadmaps that deliver measurable outcomes. The environment is highly collaborative, fast-moving, and innovation-focused, with strong emphasis on engineering excellence, automation, and responsible AI adoption.

Accountabilities:

Lead and grow multiple teams of architects and engineers while ensuring delivery excellence, technical alignment, and strong team health across programs.

  • Provide leadership across distributed teams, including coaching, mentoring, performance management, and talent development initiatives.
  • Oversee Azure-based architecture strategy across data, applications, and AI workloads for enterprise-scale transformation programs.
  • Define and drive cloud modernization roadmaps, reference architectures, and reusable technical patterns.
  • Guide complex architectural decisions, ensuring alignment across security, scalability, performance, cost, and reliability.
  • Lead executive-level discussions with stakeholders, translating business objectives into technical solutions and delivery plans.
  • Ensure strong delivery governance, including architecture reviews, backlog alignment, dependency management, and risk tracking.
  • Promote AI-assisted engineering practices, automation, CI/CD, and observability across teams and programs.
  • Support sales and pursuit activities by contributing to solution design, estimation, and technical strategy for new opportunities.
  • Requirements:

This role requires extensive experience in data science, AI, cloud architecture, and enterprise-scale program leadership, combined with strong consulting and stakeholder engagement skills.

    • 12+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud platforms, data, or analytics, with enterprise-scale delivery exposure.
    • 7+ years in solution architecture and engineering leadership, including multi-team or program-level ownership.
    • Deep expertise in data science, machine learning, and Azure data ecosystems (e.g., Azure ML, Databricks, Synapse, Fabric).
    • Strong background in ML engineering, MLOps, data pipelines, governance, and advanced analytics techniques.
    • Experience with generative AI, RAG systems, prompt engineering, and modern AI frameworks.
    • Proven ability to design scalable data and AI architectures aligned with business outcomes.
    • Strong consulting experience with executive-level communication, stakeholder management, and client-facing leadership.
    • Hands-on knowledge of Agile delivery at scale, CI/CD, DevOps, and modern software engineering practices.
    • Relevant Azure or Databricks certifications are strongly preferred.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to operate in complex, fast-paced environments.
    • Benefits:

      • Flexible, virtual-first remote work model across the United States
      • Competitive base salary with annual bonus eligibility (range: $168,400 – $252,600 USD)
      • 401(k) with employer match
      • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options
