Director, Finance Network Strategy

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Abbott Nutrition Supply Chain - a global manufacturing organization comprising 14 manufacturing plants and 25+ third party manufacturers, supporting the $8BN Abbott Nutrition business - currently has an opening for a Strategic Finance Director, based in Lake County, Illinois. This position will report directly to the DVP and Controller Abbott Nutrition Supply Chain, and provide financial leadership to ANSC Global Engineering, with a focus on strategic initiatives and capital investments.

Individual is responsible for providing financial leadership for the ANSC Network Strategy group and the ANSC Engineering Organization, including responsibility for total Abbott Nutrition Capital and Project Expense. This role will lead a team of 7 finance professionals based in Lake County, IL and Columbus, Ohio responsible for all financial planning and analysis in the aforementioned areas and will ensure full compliance with the relevant Abbott Corporate accounting policies and procedures, consistent with General Accepted Accounting Practices.

Responsibilities:

• ANSC Network Strategy
  • Lead a team of 3 finance professionals
  • Member of both the Liquid Strategy and Powder Strategy Steering Committee's
  • Provide financial leadership on all strategic capacity increase assessments and projects to support the growth of AN
  • Lead Capital and Network strategy for Nutrition's Organic Execution Model (OEM)
• AN Engineering / Capital
  • Lead a team of 4 finance professionals
  • Responsible for management of the AN RCE process, and reporting and control of capital expenditures and project expense
  • Significant capital investment projected over the next 5 years
• Actively support Abbott Nutrition Supply Chain priorities as determined by DVP and Controller ANSC and serve as business partners to DVP Global Engineering and Director Network Strategy
• Provide financial guidance and leadership to finance team and business partners
• Lead the development of finance team by recruiting qualified personnel to the organization and retaining and developing both direct and indirect reports by providing challenging opportunities and advancing personnel as appropriate

Requirements:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics
• Graduate Studies, MBA, or CPA preferred
• 10-15 years of experience in Financial Planning, Analysis, or Reporting role in Multinational Corporation environment, along with 5-10 years supervisory / management experience
• Strong interpersonal and executive communication skills, ability to interact with senior leadership
• Strong business acumen and understanding of strategic drivers
• Ability to manage many competing priorities, and execute in a pressurized environment
• Ability to influence in a matrixed organization
• Demonstrated track record of achievement and delivery in finance management roles
