The Director of Financial Systems and Reporting will report to the Chief Financial Officer and fill a key role in the finance leadership team at Boomi. You will be the Finance functional expert by owning the design and implementation of the overall financial, accounting, procurement and analytics solutions to enable Boomi's substantial growth.
The first critical step is to map out a Vision for the future-state financial system solutions blueprint, and the roadmap to get there. You will liaise with internal stakeholders across various departments to drive alignment. You will then be able to lead the implementation of this multi-year journey to fruition, leveraging internal Boomi IT team as well as outside system integrators, to bring your Vision to life, delighting your business partners along the way.
You will need to build an in-depth understanding of how various functions within Finance work to enable the overall Boomi business, and partner with IT to develop technical solutions for Finance to achieve our aspiration. You will be a strategist, a builder and a collaborator.

What You'll Do:

• Develop an in-depth understanding of current state systems and processes across all functions within Finance (FP&A, Accounting, Procurement, Treasury, Controls, etc.), including data flows, points of integrations and reporting
• Partner with IT to map out a Vision of our to-be financial systems and solutions architecture
• Develop a roadmap that properly sequences all building blocks to deliver the to-be Vision
• Gather requirements (business, reporting, analytics) to help select the right financial system solutions for various building blocks, and lead overall implementation, including sourcing system integrators where appropriate
• Partner with IT teams to clearly articulate all points of integration and ensure these interfaces are structured and mapped seamlessly
• While implementing the new financial system solutions, partner with IT to define and secure long-term resource to continue optimizing these solutions beyond go-live
• Run change management to ensure effective adoption of new financial system solutions
• Continue to push the envelope: monitor new financial technology trends and introduce the right solutions when appropriate, e.g., automation, reporting, etc.

The Experience you bring:

• 10+ years of ERP/financial system solutions implementation as a Finance functional expert
• Technical consulting experience
• Deep understanding of financial processes and SOx controls environment
• Strong communication and project management skills
• Strategic and visionary in financial system and solution architecture
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and adapt quickly to change
• Must be able to troubleshoot, resolve and communicate solutions for financial system issues
• The following experiences are a plus: NetSuite, billing, collections, revenue recognition, FP&A tool
