Global Treasury and Financial Services (GTFS) manages and protects Microsoft's $140B in financial assets to support the digital transformation journey of Microsoft's customers, partners & vendors by providing competitive credit and payment solutions to support revenue growth while managing credit risk. We are a compliance first organization with customer obsession and economics focus.

The Director of Global Cash Management will oversee subsidiary funding , concentration and optimization of cash flows of almost $ 500B across 1200+ bank accounts, 250+ subsidiaries and over 25+ key banking partners. This will require an experienced innovator with a growth mindset, a desire to continually learn and be a leader who builds partnerships, attracts talent, and leads a high performing team. Change management and agility in execution are key for success in this fast-paced role. As a thought leader, you will analyze a variety of resources that directly relate to organizational performance. Your ability to lean-in and help deploy world class solutions for your function are critical for on-going success. A successful candidate must have a track record of exceptional thought leadership , building high performing teams , driving for results , innovati on, agility and collaboration and coaching skills.

Qualifications:

Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent AND 7+ years experience with background in treasury, finance, or accounting.
Preferred Qualifications/ Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business; AND 10+ years experience with background in treasury, finance, or accounting. MBA (Master's in Business Administratoin) AND/OR 10+ years experience with background in treasury, financing, banking.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills will be essential as the role will serve as intermediary between Microsoft Treasury, external banking partners, subsidiaries, and other internal stakeholders across the finance and sales organizations.
  • Proven and exceptional project management skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • Experience working with managed services .
  • Proven understanding of financial markets and global corporate treasury operations - including international cash and liquidity management, cash forecasting processes, banking, related process management, and compliance activities.
Treasury M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $124,800 - $266,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $159,000 - $292,200 per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage our global in-house cash center, optimize cash flows across global subsidiaries, provide support for tax related cash flows and support of funding entit ies and data centers; continue to leverage best in class tools to drive business insights.
  • Effective collaboration across business / finance teams and local controllers to deliver timely support to meet local funding needs (including entity payroll, accounts payable, and related busin ess flows) while ensuring strict compliance and risk management.
  • Provide support for all payment types needed to support our customers, partners, and vendors , collaborating with Payment Strategy Council and other stakeholders across GTFS .
  • L eadership to drive improvement in processes and procedures to modernize all aspects of cash management.
  • Be a thought leader driving technology and innovation strategy .
  • Trusted advisor and close collaboration with HR, Legal, Tax, AP, Payroll, Corporate Accounting, and other stakeholders.
  • Coach and develop employees to meet the needs of the business today and in the future.
