JOB DESCRIPTION:

A global leader in the interventional cardiology medical device industry, Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for treatment of coronary artery disease. Our extensive portfolio includes drug-eluting stents, bare metal stents, guide wires, balloon dilatation catheters, imaging catheters and software, vessel closure devices and peripheral stents. Our location in Santa Clara, CA currently has an onsite opportunity for a Global Downstream Marketing Director, supporting the Endovascular channel within Abbott Vascular.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

You will help lead the rapidly growing global Endovascular portfolio, developing and launching growth strategies and partnering with regional marketing teams to achieve and maintain market leadership. You'll provide leadership in product management activities, market development activities, and collaboration with global sales/marketing teams.

• Responsible for directing the promotion and go-to-market strategy for the endovascular product portfolio.
• Accountable for monitoring the development of business plans, managing lifecycles, and product positioning in the marketplace.
• Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs.
• Responsible for managing the entire marketing mix.
• Interfaces with upstream marketing, R&D, supply chain, and sales to launch new products, enhance and manage existing products and achieve product line revenue and margin goals.
• Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) technical advisor for specific product(s) assigned.
• As the leader of the endovascular marketing team, provide direction and guidance to managers. Develop, coach and mentor staff.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination or education and work experience
• Minimum 12 years of related work experience
