The Opportunity
This position works out of our Sylmar, CA location in the Cardiac Rhythm Management division. As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats.
As the Global Operations Strategy Director, you'll define and implement manufacturing, facilities, sourcing, and supply chain strategies for a Global Operations Organization. This role will lead and manage high impact change programs that significantly improve the productivity and cost structure of the global operations network. You'll create and meet short and long term business goals to support our customer and business requirements through management of the material supply chain functions of planning, inventory control, accessory operations and purchasing. This role will both lead and support key divisional strategic and tactical initiatives to optimize Operations performance.
What You'll Work On
- Works with senior and executive management to develop high impact improvement strategies for the Division Global Operations manufacturing network consisting of multiple manufacturing plants and major distribution centers
- Defines and manages the strategic planning process for Global Operations
- Works with Division VP's to integrate operational, supply chain, and functional strategies to meet business objectives over the OEM
- Creates operational and cost models to support analysis and management of division goals. Performs benchmarking and cost structure analysis to define significant opportunities for improvement
- Establishes sustaining processes to evaluate cost/capacity evaluation and modeling for the global operations network
- Directs cross functional teams in the analysis of complex alternatives with significant scope and scale
- Implements programs/projects that involve significant capital modifications to existing plants, construction of new manufacturing plants, plant closures, product volume rebalancing, outsourcing, and organizational restructuring
- Defines and implements communications plans for restructuring programs that address needs of executive management, shareholders, employees, and other stakeholders
- Participate with counterparts in Engineering, Quality, and Production to comprise Operations Co-Leadership team for the Division
- Work with peers in R&D, Commercial and marketing to support on-market and OEM strategies
- Provide vision, definition, and implementation of long-range material management, manufacturing and site wide improvement initiatives
- Develop and track goals and objectives to assure annual improvements in operational performance, product quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction
- Establish effective measurement systems for performance to assure meeting quality, customer and cost expectations
- Responsible for planning, budgeting and spending authorization
- Develop internal processes and procedures to support GSO local procurement initiative for international locations
- Enforce compliance of personnel with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules, and governmental regulations
- Serve as senior level representative on cross-organizational, cross-plant, cross-division and corporate materials and operations initiatives
- Serve as Operations interface on gross margin strategies
- Responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining strategies to optimize gross margin for CRM
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Finance, or Business, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum 10-15 years in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and/or Financial Management

The base pay for this position is
$156,400.00 - $312,800.00
In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
