This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director, Global Supplier Quality Management in United States.

This is a senior enterprise leadership role responsible for shaping and governing the global supplier quality strategy within a highly regulated biopharmaceutical environment. You will oversee the full supplier lifecycle, ensuring compliance, product quality, and patient safety across a complex global external manufacturing and supply network. Acting as a key quality authority, you will partner closely with Procurement, Technical Operations, Manufacturing, and senior leadership teams to drive consistent, risk-based supplier oversight. The role combines strategic governance with hands-on leadership in quality systems, auditing, and supplier performance management. You will also play a critical role in advancing digital transformation within Supplier Quality, leveraging data, automation, and AI to enhance decision-making and risk detection. This position is ideal for a seasoned quality leader who thrives in global, matrixed environments and is passionate about operational excellence and patient impact.

Accountabilities:

  • Define and execute the global Supplier Quality strategy, ensuring alignment with global quality systems, regulatory requirements, and business objectives.
  • Own end-to-end supplier lifecycle management in partnership with Procurement, including qualification, onboarding, performance monitoring, change control, and exit processes.
  • Establish and govern global supplier quality processes such as quality agreements, deviations, CAPA, audits, and compliance oversight.
  • Lead risk-based supplier segmentation and oversight models to prioritize critical suppliers and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Monitor supplier quality performance through KPIs, trend analysis, and escalation frameworks to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Lead supplier-related investigations, risk assessments, and corrective/preventive actions to protect product quality and patient safety.
  • Oversee the global supplier auditing program, including planning, execution, effectiveness checks, and regulatory inspection readiness.
  • Drive digital transformation of Supplier Quality by implementing data-driven tools, automation, and AI-enabled solutions for enhanced decision-making.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Technical Operations, Procurement, and Quality teams to ensure alignment on supplier requirements and strategies.
  • Lead and develop a global Supplier Quality organization, including talent development, organizational design, and capability building.
  • Manage budgets, resourcing, and long-term planning for the Supplier Quality function.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
    • 15+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, or related roles in biotech, pharma, or regulated industries.
    • Strong knowledge of global regulatory frameworks including GMP, GDP, GCP, ISO standards, and 21 CFR requirements.
    • Proven experience leading global supplier quality programs and managing complex, multi-tier external supply networks.
    • Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing high-performing global teams.
    • Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders in a matrixed, global organization without direct authority.
    • Experience leading transformation initiatives, including digitalization and quality system modernization.
    • Strong analytical mindset with experience using data, metrics, and digital tools to improve quality outcomes.
    • Excellent communication, leadership presence, and stakeholder management skills, including interaction with regulators and executives.
    • Experience with AI-enabled quality systems is a strong plus.
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive executive-level compensation package
      • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage
      • Retirement savings plan with employer contributions
      • Paid time off and flexible work arrangements (remote or hybrid depending on location)
      • Opportunities for long-term career growth in a global leadership environment
      • Exposure to cutting-edge digital transformation and AI initiatives in quality systems
      • Inclusive and mission-driven culture focused on patient impact and innovation
      • Leadership development and succession planning opportunities
      • Support for continuing education and professional development.
