ABOUT THE POSITION

In Global Brand Marketing, we focus on our consumers' behavior, and create experiences around the globe to build their connection to our brand. Whether it's media strategy, brand/product storytelling, content creation or partner activations, the consumer is at the heart of everything we do. And, we continue to stay true to our brand, even as we evolve to meet the demands of the ever-changing landscape .

The Director of Wholesale Marketing will be responsible for driving strategy for retail marketing and in-store initiatives for Columbia's US Wholesale Marketplace. This person will lead the wholesale marketing team to create brand and commerce enhancing experiences including in-store marketing and product presentation and will partner with commercial and brand leadership to build and execute the corporate, commercial, and seasonal brand strategy from sell-in to sell-through. We are looking for someone who loves outdoor products, understands distribution, sales, and retail channels, and is able to move effortlessly between detail-oriented product deliverables, high level brand strategy, and near/long term business objectives.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
  • Create and communicate annual account marketing plan that reflects a clear strategy, allocation of resources, and priorities
  • Participate as an active role of the NA Sales Leadership team
  • Lead the Key Account Marketing Manager team to support commerce team and brand goals
  • Develop a dynamic, diverse team of thought leaders in the brand/commercial space
  • Lead the wholesale ISM/VM team to execute seasonal stories and VM standards
  • Accountable for Account Marketing budget allocation, prioritization, and tracking
  • Identify opportunities and adjust seasonal plans and product support as needed based on delivery and performance of key marketing styles
  • Drive close alignment with the US Brand Manager

YOU ARE
  • An experienced people leader with strong team management, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Able to lead and influence individuals and teams while driving results through teamwork and collaboration
  • Flexible with the ability to adapt as needed
  • Able to deliver successful presentations to both small and large groups
  • A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills

YOU HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications or related field
  • 8+ years of marketing experience in positions of progressive responsibility
  • Experience leading account marketing and marketplace management in US wholesale accounts
  • Experience planning seasonal apparel and footwear initiatives in US market
  • Ability to work with and build strong relationships with sales partners, account partners, and sales leadership
  • Ability to lead a team to achieve seasonal goals and best in class account marketing leadership
  • Understanding of and practice application of managed space, product presentation standards, third party merchandising, and trade architecture
  • Consumer driven marketing plan development and experience
  • Experience and success delivering digitally-led plans with partners
