Hill Top Preparatory School, the Pennsylvania Main Line leader in the education of neurodiverse students, seeks an experienced, reflective, and highly-collaborative Director of Advancement. The ideal candidate is a champion of neurodiversity who is energized by building new relationships, creating opportunities for philanthropic support, and aligning them with one another. The Director of Advancement reports to the Head of School and is a member of the Senior Administrative Team. The Director of Advancement supervises the Coordinator for Marketing and Strategic Communications and Advancement Interns. This position is the liaison to both the Advancement Committee, as well as to the Parents’ Association.
Essential Tasks
• Donor Cultivation: Nurture, expand, and solicit support from Hill Top’s existing and prospective donors.
• Gift Management:Oversee the gift processing and gift acknowledgement to ensure gifts and pledges are entered into the database and acknowledged in a timely fashion.
• Fund Appeal Management:Coordinates the Hill Top Annual Fund, Major Gifts, Planned Giving, and other specialized fund programming that provides critical support for the most pressing needs of the school.
• Stewardship:Regularly lead with a stewardship mindset and sets aside significant time to develop strategies and executes stewardship initiatives to keep donors and constituents engaged.
• Special Events:Collaborates with faculty, staff, and administration, to implement fundraising and donor cultivation events, as well as other friend-raising campus events.
• Communications: Work with Admissions, Marketing, Summer Programs, and HT's Neurodiversity Success Center to keep both internal and external Hill Top communities, as well as the general public, up to date on school programming.
• Grants- Identifies, creates, submits, and coordinates grant proposals that align with the school's mission and vision.
• Other dutiesas assigned by the Head of School.
Essential Qualifications
• BA or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of advancement experience.
• A passion for working with neurodiverse individuals.
• Effective communicator who has the ability to connect positively with school stakeholders.
• Multi-tasker who can handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, both independently and collaboratively to produce quality results on schedule.
• Experience with volunteer management.
• Occasional availability for evening/weekend work.
• Familiarity with CRM database programs (ideally FACTS).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
