The Game Content & Studios President's office is seeking Director of Business Program Manager, Game Content & Studios to drive strategic planning and execution while supporting the President of Game Content & Studios and the Chief of Staff. You will drive programs and projects to ensure organization wide implementation of strategic efforts. As a Director Business Program Manager,Game Content & Studios you will act as a trusted advisor to both the President, Chief of Staff and the Game and Content Studio Leadership Team. You will collectively execute against the strategy and operational needs of the COS office to ultimately achieve success individually and through others as we pioneer new territory in gaming.

Responsibilities

Drive Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Responsible for organization-wide effectiveness including strategic planning and management, org priorities, ROB, internal/external communications, meetings and events, G&A budgets, workforce management, and strategic programs and initiatives to ensure leadership and org alignment.
  • Operates as an extension to the Chief of Staff, becoming a proxy however needed for the COS office to run effectively.
  • In partnership with stakeholders and studio leaders, establish and drive org decision making and alignment in collaboration with stakeholders. Additionally, crafting clear, precise, and meaningful communications, processes, and rhythms for both internal and external audiences.

Support the President of Game Content & Studios:

  • Extends the leader while developing relationships with key staff and partners across Microsoft & Xbox and in partnership with these collaborators execute on the studio strategy and goals (i.e., setting key goals, priorities, and definitions; team culture and health; communications; studio management and talent planning).
  • Maximizes the use and effectiveness of the leader's time to drive progress towards business priorities.
  • Drives cross-team projects to meet the changing business needs. Leads project/program management to ensure org-wide implementation of strategic efforts that required hands-on coordination across multiple disciplines and business organizations.
  • Is a discussion partner for important and difficult decisions which drive Global consistency, fairness, and a strategic viewpoint.

Operations & Communications

  • Partners with leadership to spread communication and clarity of strategy, vision, and objectives. Own planning and execution of communication strategy and speaking engagements to ensure successful and impactful use of Leadership time.
  • Coordinates with teams across Microsoft & Xbox to understand and align on business initiatives. Partner with the COS to align on Rhythm of business and team rhythms. Connect, communicate, and participate in forums to represent Gaming and share updates and learnings (e.g. Chief of Staff forums) and ensure our org is plugged into, contributing, and facilitating cross org activities.

Organizational Health

  • Aligns with the People agenda for the org and understand the current global organization culture, as well as lead culture initiatives.
  • Activates Gaming D&I (Diversity & Inclusion) plan through programs that develop diverse perspectives, support inclusive hiring approaches, and provide a safe place where everyone feels a sense of belonging.

Business Integration & Partner Relationships

  • Drives strategic initiatives and provides thought leadership. Identify issues that impede business group success and provide solutions/recommendations. Identifies opportunities to create cross group collaboration and synergies. Demonstrates discretion and professionalism when working with leadership team on sensitive business and organizational issues, manages ambiguity and proposes workable solutions to problems.
  • Establishes and maintains key partnerships with internal teams (e.g., GTM, Human Resources, Marketing, Sales, Business Development, etc.). Manages and cultivates relationships with leaders of internal teams. Acts as an advisor to leadership, leveraging breadth of relationships, program management skillset, organizational context, and market awareness on strategic business decisions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 8+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement
  • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Executive presence, credibility, and proven experience to effectively work within all levels of the organization, from Corporate Vice Presidents (CVPs) to individual contributors to contingent staff.
  • Manages confidentiality and demonstrates outstanding judgment.
  • Deep expertise in executive storytelling, synthesizing information into digestible communication- Gaming experience preferred.
  • Robust Power Point skills with ability to create executive audience communication tools.
  • Experienced at execution with a proven program management track record of shouldering cross functional and/or cross team projects.
  • Independent, self-starter with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities and tasks simultaneously.

Business Program Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $273,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $299,400 per year.
