Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Director of Customer Marketing to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing customer-focused marketing initiatives aimed at increasing customer engagement, loyalty, and retention. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of customer behavior and insights. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, and customer success, to drive growth and optimize the customer journey.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute customer marketing strategies that increase customer engagement, loyalty, and retention.
  • Conduct customer research and segmentation to identify customer needs, preferences, and behaviors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize the customer journey and improve customer experience.
  • Develop and manage customer lifecycle campaigns, including onboarding, retention, and reactivation programs.
  • Create and implement customer segmentation and personalization strategies to drive engagement and revenue.
  • Partner with sales and customer success teams to develop targeted upsell and cross-sell campaigns.
  • Monitor and analyze customer metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and manage customer advocacy programs, including customer referrals and case studies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continually improve customer marketing programs.

Pay Range Disclosure:

The base pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to Qualifications, Geographical Location, Education/certifications, Experience, Skill Sets, Training, and other business and organizational needs. 

A reasonable estimate of the current range for the position of Director of Customer Marketing is: $126,000 - $179,850.

This position may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus program or commission plan, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.

Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or communications, business, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in customer marketing or related fields, with a proven track record of driving customer engagement and loyalty.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with customer research and segmentation.
  • Experience developing and executing customer lifecycle campaigns.
  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze and interpret data to drive marketing decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in customer marketing.
