About the role:

CoreWeave is looking for an experienced Director of Data Center and Physical Security  to lead and manage the physical security of our multiple data centers and office locations. You’ll be responsible for ensuring compliance with all security policies, procedures, and regulations, while maintaining a high level of security and safety for our employees, clients, and assets.

What you’ll work on:

  • Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards that comply with industry regulations, compliance programs and best practices.
  • Oversee and manage the physical security of multiple data centers and office locations, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, event logging and alarm systems.
  • Conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Develop, deliver and enforce security awareness training programs to educate employees on security policies and procedures.
  • Manage relationships with external security service providers, including security guard services, alarm monitoring companies, data center operations  and local law enforcement agencies.
  • Monitor security incidents and investigate security breaches, providing recommendations and implementing corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as IT, legal, and facilities, to ensure security compliance across the organization.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging security threats and technologies and provide guidance on the implementation of new security measures.

  • You have a strong interest and demonstrated experience with security management, with a focus on physical security for data centers and office locations.
  • You’re familiar with industry security standards and regulations, such as ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and SOC 2.
  • You’re an expert in developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and standards.
  • You’ve got strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and manage a team of security professionals.
  • You’re good at communicating security risks and recommendations to senior management.
  • You’ve got a knack for working with security service providers, including contract negotiation and management.
  • You’re excited by working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment. 
  • You’re able to travel to our nationwide locations up to 25% of the time.
