Job description

Team: Business Development

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director of M&A Integration & Synergy Realization in the United States.

This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving the successful integration of newly acquired businesses within a fast-growing, private equity-backed organization. The position sits at the core of the company’s M&A strategy, ensuring that acquisitions translate into measurable operational and financial value. It combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution, covering integration planning, cross-functional coordination, and synergy realization. The role requires strong leadership presence, deep program management expertise, and the ability to operate in complex, high-growth environments. Working closely with executive leadership and functional teams, the Director ensures smooth transitions, business continuity, and disciplined execution of integration initiatives. This is a highly visible role that directly influences long-term value creation and organizational scalability.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead end-to-end M&A integration programs, overseeing planning, execution, and governance for newly acquired businesses to ensure seamless onboarding and operational continuity.
  • Build and scale an Integration Management Office (IMO), defining standardized frameworks, tools, playbooks, and best practices to ensure consistency and repeatability across transactions.
  • Coordinate cross-functional integration activities across Operations, Finance, HR, IT, Legal, Compliance, and Sales, ensuring alignment, accountability, and timely execution of integration milestones.
  • Drive synergy identification, tracking, and realization, partnering with Finance and business leaders to measure cost savings, revenue opportunities, and overall value creation.
  • Manage risk mitigation, issue resolution, and stakeholder communication to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Continuously improve integration methodology by capturing lessons learned and evolving scalable frameworks that strengthen future M&A execution.
  • Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
    • 6+ years of experience in M&A integration, corporate development, management consulting, or related fields, with strong preference for hands-on integration leadership experience.
    • Proven success leading complex, multi-functional integration programs in high-growth, private equity-backed, industrial, logistics, or services environments.
    • Strong expertise in synergy modeling, operational integration planning, and post-merger performance tracking.
    • Excellent project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
    • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
    • Benefits

      • Competitive base salary ranging from $190,000 to $210,000 depending on experience and location
      • Performance-based bonus incentive plan
      • Medical, dental, vision, prescription drug, life, and disability insurance coverage
      • 401(k) with company match
      • Unlimited PTO, paid holidays, and sick time
      • Weekly pay cycle
      • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and 24/7 nurse triage support
      • Career development and training programs through internal learning platforms
      • Safety and wellness reimbursements (boots, prescription safety glasses)
      • Employee recognition and rewards platform with redeemable points
      • Employee discounts on services and entertainment
      • Employee Resource Groups supporting inclusion and engagement.
