Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Paid Social to drive the success of paid social strategy, innovation and best-in-class performance for our clients. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of developing and executing successful paid social campaigns for DTC brands. They will possess a deep understanding of various social media platforms, advertising formats, targeting options, and optimization techniques.
As the Director of Paid Social, you'll be at the forefront of cultivating senior-level client relationships, offering invaluable expertise in social media and driving innovation. Your leadership will steer our team's priorities and content strategies. Additionally, you'll mentor junior team members, fostering their technical skills and guiding their career growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive paid social media advertising strategies aligned with client objectives and industry best practices.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing thought leadership and best practices in paid social media advertising.
- Lead client-facing workshops, trainings, and strategy sessions to educate clients on the latest trends, tools, and tactics in paid social media.
- Proactively identify and address client needs, challenges, and opportunities to drive client satisfaction and retention
- Lead a team of paid social media specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure campaign success.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of paid social campaigns across multiple platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, and others.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including creative, analytics, and account management, to ensure seamless execution and alignment with overall marketing objectives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies in the paid social media landscape, and incorporate learnings into campaign strategies.
- Monitor campaign performance, analyze data, and provide actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key platform partners and vendors to stay ahead of industry developments and access beta opportunities.
- Drive innovation and experimentation by testing new ad formats, targeting options, and creative approaches to continuously improve campaign performance.
- Act as a thought leader within the organization and the industry, sharing insights, best practices, and case studies with clients and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in paid social media advertising, with a focus on e-commerce brands.
- Proven track record of planning, executing, and optimizing successful paid social campaigns across multiple platforms.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing a team of paid social media specialists.
- In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, advertising tools, targeting options, and optimization techniques.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, draw actionable insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop innovative and effective paid social media strategies that drive business results.
- Experience working in a fast-paced agency environment with multiple clients and tight deadlines.
- Certifications in social media advertising platforms (e.g., Facebook Blueprint, Twitter Flight School) are a plus.
