The Director of Revenue Recognition is responsible for leading Global Program management for Revenue Recognition together with contract review and accounting for the America's time-zone. As the Global Program owner, you will lead organization and process design to ensure our Contract Review and Accounting function keeps pace with a dynamically transforming business. You will be accountable for optimization and automation of the contract review and accounting processes leveraging AI.
As the Americas time-zone leader for Revenue Recognition, you will have expertise in applying ASC 606 for Revenue Recognition and lead a large multi-location team of technical accounting professionals responsible for reviewing and determining accounting positions for our most complex deals. You will partner closely with our Corporate Policy team recommending and aligning on accounting positions and with our Deal Desk consulting on structuring complex sales transactions.

- Directly lead a global team of Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 606 Subject Matter Experts to manage Contract Review & Accounting execution for Americas, ensuring processes follow the ASC 606 revenue recognition standard and support Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance.
- Support the Corporate Revenue Assurance team in technical revenue recognition matters. This will include contributing thought leadership and guidance and providing counsel to your team members and other cross functional teams on how to apply revenue recognition guidelines. Accountable for documentation and support of revenue recognition positions taken by the team.
- Program Management
- Dynamically manage resourcing globally to meet contract review demand.
- Define and Design Contract Review and Accounting Strategy, Including
- Designing new processes to support new products and go-to-market scenarios.
- Evolving our business processes, capacity planning, and partnerships in line with transforming business needs
- Leveraging our products and Artificial Intelligence capabilities to transform our processes and automate accounting
- Partner closely with Deal Desk to influence contracting for complex, material, and high-risk offerings. Participate in contract ideation and design and continue to grow deal desk engagement and rhythms
- Provide Audit Support related to revenue and customer contracts for both consolidated and statutory audits.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 12+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
- OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 10+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA)
- Deep knowledge and experience applying SaaS revenue recognition rules, mainly ASC 606 and/or IFRS 15.
Controllership M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $124,800 - $266,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $159,000 - $292,200 per year.
