Director of Risk Management

The Role

The person performing the role of the Director of Risk Management at Fusion Risk Management, Inc. ("Fusion") shall be responsible for maintaining and further maturing Fusion's existing Risk Management, Business Continuity ("BC"), Operational Risk, Incident and Crisis Management, and Third-Party Management ("TPM") functions, as well as work within the Legal Department to build a Privacy program. The Director of Risk Management will report to the Senior Director of Compliance and will work day-to-day with the Legal Department.

The Director of Risk Management must have industry-recognized credentials and experience working in mature Risk Management fields. Fusion is a "Salesforce shop" and so Salesforce experience is required and experience in the use of the Fusion Framework System is strongly preferred. The Director of Risk Management will maintain both Fusion's internal operations as well as answer client and prospect questions regarding Fusion's BC, Risk and TPRM programs.

Specific, day-to-day responsibilities of the role shall include maintaining:

Operational Risk Management, including:

• Developing an operational Risk Management program and policies.
• Identifying Risk mitigation opportunities and implementing procedures to mitigate.

Business Continuity, including:

• Working with business leaders to complete Business Impact Assessments ("BIAs"), developing continuity plans, and other business continuity lifecycle operations, utilizing the Fusion Framework System.
• Managing the development and execution of comprehensive and integrated exercises to test capabilities and update all business continuity plans, on a regular basis, utilizing the Fusion Framework System.
• Developing and maintaining the business continuity management policies, standards and guidelines in line with applicable standards.

Third-Party Management, including:

• Performing due diligence on new and existing vendors, tracking the services each performs, the data types held by the vendor, etc. utilizing the Fusion Framework System.
• Holding vendors accountable to their commitments to Fusion

Incident and Crisis Management, Including:

• Providing subject-matter expertise on incident and crisis management planning and execution. Develop and maintain highly functional Incident Response and Crisis Management. 
• Operating as a member of the crisis & incident response team.

Disaster Recovery Program, including:

• Collaborating closely with IT Services team to maintain IT Disaster Recovery practices and policies are current, exercised, and logged within the Fusion Framework System. 

Privacy, including:

• Working within the Legal Department and with outside counsel to mature an existing Privacy program.

General responsibilities include:

• Responding to Fusion's clients and prospects submitted questionnaires relating to each domain.
• Continually improving Fusion's Risk posture by applying the latest best practices across the resilience and risk disciplines. 

Requirements

• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Operational Risk Management, Business Continuity, Third-Party Management, and Privacy.
• Bachelor's degree (Master's degree highly preferred) and/or relevant experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to succinctly summarize key findings.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal and indirect influencing skills, with a demonstrated ability to gain the confidence of stakeholders at various organizational levels.
• High level of personal initiative, creativity and self-motivation.
• Experience providing reporting and updates to senior-level management.
• Demonstrated proficiency in leveraging SaaS to drive Risk Programs, with a "data over documents" approach.
• Risk and Continuity Industry Certifications (BCI, DRII, etc.) is a plus
• Experience with the Fusion Framework System is a plus.
