Team: Business Development

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director of Wholesale in the United States.

This senior leadership role owns the full wholesale business and plays a critical part in driving scalable, profitable growth across major retail partners and e-commerce channels. You will define and execute the multi-year wholesale strategy while managing key national accounts and shaping long-term retail partnerships with leading brands in the industry. Operating with full P&L responsibility, you will balance strategic planning with hands-on execution across forecasting, pricing, trade investment, and performance optimization. This role requires a strong commercial mindset, deep retail expertise, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders both internally and externally. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, finance, product, and operations to ensure seamless go-to-market execution. As a key business leader, you will also guide a lean team and help elevate the organization’s wholesale capabilities in a high-growth, fast-moving environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Own end-to-end wholesale P&L, including revenue, margin, trade spend, and profitability across all retail and e-commerce wholesale accounts.
  • Define and execute the long-term wholesale growth strategy aligned with overall business objectives, including forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking.
  • Serve as the executive lead for key national accounts, including major retailers and partners, driving strategic alignment and expanding commercial opportunities.
  • Lead joint business planning, negotiations, and promotional strategies to strengthen partnerships and maximize mutual growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective product launches, assortment planning, and go-to-market execution across all wholesale channels.
  • Leverage data and market insights to optimize pricing, assortment strategy, inventory flow, and overall channel performance.
  • Requirements

    • 5+ years of experience in wholesale, national account management, or retail sales, including leadership responsibilities.
    • Proven track record managing large retail accounts and driving growth with major national retailers.
    • Strong experience owning P&L responsibilities, including budgeting, forecasting, and trade investment management.
    • Deep understanding of wholesale dynamics across brick-and-mortar and e-commerce channels.
    • Strong negotiation, communication, and executive presence skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
    • Experience leading or mentoring teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
    • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable business decisions.
