About the position:

We're looking for the Director, Product Design to reimagine the future of Global Growth Technology by ensuring that our products and features are valuable for people, easy to use, and of the highest level of craft and execution. In this role, you'll be part of the Product leadership team, working together with your counterparts in engineering, product, Ops, marketing and other disciplines to define the strategy, operations and communications that guide the team to build great products addressing real user needs. You’ll be expected to utilize your full range of people management skills, product strategy, product design, interaction design and visual design skills.

Reporting into the Global Head of Product, this leader will be responsible for driving new initiatives for shaping the product experience for our customers and people and bring excellence across the design organization.

What you can expect to do:

  • The Head of Product Design (Director level) will be responsible for shaping the product experience for our customers and people to bring the highest level of craft and execution
  • You will collaborate closely with your counterparts in engineering, product, operations and content design to define the strategy, operations and communications that guide the team to build great products addressing real user needs
  • Inspire, lead and mentor a team of designers, driving focus and execution from concept to completion of product features
  • Partner closely with a world-class (and global) team of product managers, engineers, content designers, user experience researchers, data scientists, and product Ops to deliver high quality experiences for people across markets, platforms and product surfaces
  • Help establish and continually improve the design team processes, systems, and culture
  • Be able to flexibly support the team across different types of projects, sometimes providing the guidance and direction to set others up for success and other times, rolling up your sleeves as an individual contributor to execute alongside the rest of the team
  • Oversee multiple projects and scale design resources accordingly, ensuring deadlines are met, your org is effective, and team members are set up for success by setting clear and measurable goals

What we are looking for:

  • 6 years of leadership experience with direct reports under your guidance and leadership, including hiring and developing senior managers and individual contributors
  • 10 years of experience working collaboratively with product, engineering, design, content and user research teams
  • Able to effectively communicate design solutions to all audiences, inclusive of executive leadership & the C-suite
  • Able to deeply understand business goals and outcomes by leveraging the use of data analytics, user testing, and research to inform and validate design decisions and focus on constant improvement
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment using tools like Jira and Confluence
  • Experience working with AI-driven technologies
  • Be the player coach, senior people management, team development, recruiting and org building experience

Compensation

The annual gross base salary range for this position is $190,000-$208,000. Actual compensation for this position may vary and will depend on multiple factors including relevant qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus plan dependent on various factors, including and without limitation, individual and company performance in addition to base salary.
