Within the Growth Innovation and Strategy team we are seeking a talented and visionary Director of Product Management with solid technical acumen to identify, create and advance new high-growth categories. In this role, you will play a crucial part in incubating and scaling new technologies and businesses for Microsoft spanning growth strategy, thought leadership, and delivering high-value technology solutions to our customers. From envisioning and market insights to product strategy, go-to-market planning, and targeted customer engagement, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, product planning, business planning, marketing, and sales. Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or equivalent experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience in two of the following: architect, technical consulting, technical sales
  • Knowledge of AI/Machine Learning (ML) and emerging technologies
Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
  • Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport.

  • Effective relationship-building abilities , with prior experience working across multiple teams and functions, with the ability to effectivelysupport management ofstakeholders internally and externally
  • Workon multiple assignments at once while meeting timelines

    Ability to work independently but know when to ask for guidance
Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and envision hyper-growth technology opportunities for Government grounded in market insights and customer signals.
  • Partner with product teams to develop, shape and validate product strategy with customers for durable differentiation in market.
  • Orchestrate and deliver senior level executive briefings to successfully land strategies, present new market opportunities, address quick-turn remediation plans and assess ongoing business impact.
  • Apply strategic input and guidance into the business planning process spanning market analysis, business model creation and long-range planning leading to long-term growth.
  • Develop compelling and differentiating value propositions and narratives that drive customer interest and shift market perceptions.
  • Translate value propositions into compelling thought leadership content across event keynotes, blogs, demos and other storytelling vehicles.
  • Develop use cases and readiness content to arm the marketing and sales teams for go to market at scale.
  • Plan and deliver customer engagements targeting both technical and non-technical decision makers through executive briefings and in-depth workshops that drive lead generation and lead to proof of concepts.
  • Develop and actively lead multidisciplinary v-teams across product, business planning, marketing, sales and other functions to align category strategy and growth execution.
