Why We Need You 


As PagerDuty’s Director of Sales Operations North America, you will serve as the business partner to our SVP of North America Sales, managing a team of higher performing Sales Operations professionals addressing all strategic and operational needs related to that business. Additionally, you will manage a smaller global sales operations team responsible for providing first line support to our international teams. 

You will report to the VP of Strategy & Operations and provide leadership to the Global Sales Operations function and maximizing revenue growth through the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of sales strategies, programs, systems, and initiatives. 


The ideal candidate has worked with fast paced, rapidly growing organizations and a broad spectrum of sales metrics, processes, and tools. A thorough understanding of enterprise selling processes and experience with SaaS and/or digital sales metrics are strongly preferred. You are able to identify process improvements in all aspects of sales operations with a particular emphasis on tools and CRM. 


This individual will focus on managing functions essential to go to market and strategy related initiatives that will drive enablement and productivity. This will include planning, forecasting, reporting & analytics, goal setting and management, revenue process optimization, system management, and strategic program implementation. This role will require strong operational skills combined with an ability to go deep analytically and provide strategic support to our sales leadership teams. 


How You Contribute to Our Vision:  Key Responsibilities


  • Partner with sales leadership and cross functional leaders to deliver strategic projects, business insight and analysis, and process improvements for our sales organization. Serve as the business partner and right hand to the SVP North America Sales leader. 
  • Prioritize high value initiatives as we enter our next phase of growth include identifying demand generation opportunities, client acquisition strategies, addressable market identification, entry and growth, etc.
  • Act as the driving force in aligning Sales Operations, Sales Management, Product, Marketing, Finance, IT and Customer Support to determine key business strategies, internal process improvements and develop go to market and operating plans.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and continuous feedback to a team of sales operations managers and individual contributors that will likewise be dedicated to various sales segments. 
  • Assist in the management of all systems and tools related to our sales processes with SFDC as our central hub. You will be responsible for partnering with the business users and the technical operations team to evaluate, improve, and implement sales systems and tools.
  • Provide business partnership in all facets of sales planning, including sales territory modeling and design, sales hiring and capacity analytics, and compensation plan design
  • Design, implement, and manage forecasting, planning, and productivity processes to ensure cross functional alignment and deliver reliable, consistent, and predictable results from the sales organization
  • Document, design, and assist in standardizing our processes both within the operations team and for the sales organization. Maintain a mindset of improving the day-in-the-life for our sales facing teams. 


Skills & Attributes

  • Strong leadership skills and people management experience
  • Ability to create and foster a high performing and metrics driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with experience delivering presentations to an executive audience.
  • Experience in making data-driven decisions including but not limited to regression analysis, predictive modeling, territory planning optimization, developing size of prize (quantifying addressable opportunity), propensity scoring, etc

Minimum Requirements


  • 8+ years experience of progressive experience in Sales/Business Operations, Business Planning and Strategy experience
  • Direct experience within a SaaS organization - at least two years

Preferred Qualifications


  • Salesforce Power User
  • InsightSquared and/or Looker experience
