Job Description

We're looking for a leader with an insatiable curiosity who is eager to learn and take on new challenges. If you’re obsessed with social media, content creation, and like digging into online conversations to uncover insights, then we want to talk to you.This Social Director will act as a strategic lead for content on energetic brands under FUEL.
Responsibilities
  • LEADERSHIP
      • Key member of FUEL and Creative leadership team, making recommendations on philosophy, structure, team goals and tools, and working to future proof our department.
      • Team development and oversight. Leading training and ensuring long-term department goals are being reached.
      • Participate in new business pitches.
      • Comfortable presenting in front of teams and new clients
      • Manage team dynamics and conflict resolution.
      • Assist with defining scope and managing team’s hours and output to ensure projects are profitable and operating within scope.
  • MANAGEMENT
      • Develop strong, trusted relationships with clients, media partners, vendors, channel reps and internal teams.
      • Quality assurance of all content, ensuring projects are on strategy, meeting client expectations, delivering on business objectives, and executed accurately and according to timelines.
      • Manage the flow of client content-related issues. Create solutions and resolve problems.
      • Experience managing and training up teams within FUEL as well as across departments
  • CONTENT PLANNING
      • Embody Barkley's integrated channel planning approach, working closely with the creative team to drive innovative, effective ideas that meet our audience where they live
      • Collaborate with Comms team to develop content plans that support the client's marketing objectives
      • Continually reinforce the behaviors of the consumer in the integrated idea development process
      • Supervise implementation of integrating offerings and tools
      • Identify opportunities for content partnerships and multi-platform media partnerships, when appropriate
      • Familiar with media planning process and comfortable recommending media vehicles that align with business goals and objectives
      • Select media vehicles and determine scheduling
      • Analyze competitive activity in the marketplace
      • Present content plans to clients
      • Work with the analytics team to measure media performance while in market, make recommendations for optimization
      • Develop recap reporting to understand and document final campaign performance against goals and any critical learnings
      • Ensure media plans executed as planned and approved, on schedule and in budget
      • Regularly meet with media and industry reps to develop and maintain expertise on the technologies and capabilities available in the market that our teams can leverage
      • Oversee paid content marketing initiatives across platforms and formats to create effective, integrated engagement plans that achieve client objectives.
      • Supervise campaign measurement, on-going buy maintenance and content optimization.
      • Provide high-level thought leadership perspectives on trends and ahead-of-the-curve approaches to building, scaling and leveraging content and engagement thinking.
 Qualifications
      • Industry leader with 6+ years of experience within an advertising agency setting
      • 2+ years of management experience
      • Demonstrated success with client relationships, team management and business development
      • Proven experience integrating with research/strategy, creative and analytics teams
      • Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral
      • Sophisticated levels of time management and strict eye for detail
      • Fortitude to stay calm under pressure
      • Creative problem solver with strong critical thinking skills to manage the unknown
      • Genuine interest in emerging technology, pop culture, internet trends and staying on top of social platform updates, ad formats and paid media trends
      • Deep knowledge of all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube etc) and best practices
      • Strong understanding of paid social media
      • Advanced reporting skills and extensive analytical capabilities
      • Proficient in social listening tools (Netbase, Sprinklr) Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides). Ability to lead the team in building compelling presentations and reports
      • Bachelors Degree in strategic communication, advertising, marketing, digital media or related field or equivalent experience
