WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for a Software Engineering Director for the Finance Engineering team. The primary role on the team is to help deliver the next generation of finance platform technology while working to elevate engineering practices and team capability. This leadership role will elevate the technical aptitude of the team through pairing, code reviews, innovation time and design discussions.

The candidate needs to have experience and an understanding of contemporary development, testing, and observability techniques and tools in a DevOps environment. A learning mindset, excellent analytical skills, and strong written and verbal communication are essential. A healthy TEAM culture is important to us. WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
As a Software Engineering Director, your primary role will be to lead our Financial Integration squads by example. You will help coach two engineering squads to design, build, test, deploy and maintain our technology at scale, globally. More specifically, the role is a challenging mix of contemporary AWS services integrated with critical financial endpoints. You will also ensure we are delivering sustainable technology by being hands-on: doing peer reviews and providing technical direction. You will align engineering resources to support product outcomes.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
As a TEAM we regularly interact with Finance and Technology partners globally. It is our responsibility to partner with program, product and engineering peers to align appropriate technology outcomes with prioritized leadership initiatives.

You will regularly engage with the engineers on our collaborative DevOps squads to plan and deliver outcomes where financial service accuracy, security, reliability and performance globally at scale are expected.

Along the way, you will also collaborate with other organizational leaders to ensure TEAM health is high, and that we are building trust and diversity in the Nike Global Technology Organization.

WHAT YOU BRING
What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree or any combination of relevant equivalent experience, education and training
• 6+ years' Direct Management experience leading and developing people
• 4+ years' Java/ Javascript programming experience
• Demonstrated experience managing teams delivering microservice architecture at scale
• Strong Agile practice experience with Scrum and DevOps
• AWS Environment experience: Lambdas, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, CLI
• Tool familiarity: Jenkins, Bitbucket, Intellij/ WebStorms, Jest, Jira
• Deep understanding and practical application of modern build, continuous integration, and testing strategies
• Experience working with large volumes of financial data in a regulated environment
• Experience working with financial reporting tools or processes
