Role Overview
CarGurus' Talent Acquisition team is critical to our transformational mission and rapid scale. We are seeking a Director, Talent Acquisition Engineering to drive a strategic hiring process, champion diversity & inclusion, and operate as a consultative center of excellence for the business.Â
This is a highly visible and strategic role in the organization, responsible for the relationship with our CTO and engineering leadership team as well as all aspects of attracting high-quality, diverse engineering talent for CarGurus’. In this role you will report to the Vice President, Employer Branding and Talent Acquisition, and operate as a member of the Talent Acquisition leadership team. You will collaborate with leaders and executives across the business to ensure the Talent Acquisition team operates as a strategic partner in supporting our business goals. What you'll do
•   Manage a team of recruiting leaders and senior recruiters with a focus on developing new methods and solving complex hiring challenges while fostering an environment that drives personal and team successÂ
•   Translate data and trends into meaningful insights that drive strategic initiatives and operational efficiencies while improving hiring outcomes and recruiter performance
•   Collaborate closely with the Senior Engineering Leadership team, including Chief Technology Officer, to drive a strategic talent acquisition process that leads to high-quality, data-based hiring decisions that drive strategic business results
•   Prioritize and develop partnerships with Employer Branding, TA Operations, and HR Business Partner teams to ensure an efficient hiring process and positive candidate experience.
•   Research, evaluate, and implement sourcing tools and strategies to proactively build and maintain strong pipelines of top talent for critical positions
•   Participates with senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives and drive the management of projects to improve processes to achieve strategic goals
•   Partner with internal stakeholders on strategic or executive searches as needed, managing candidates through the entire recruiting lifecycleÂ
What you'll bring
•   15+ years of strategic recruiting experience
•   Experience in leadership roles within corporate recruiting environments
•   Ability to build high performing recruiting teams and manage to results
•   Experience partnering with engineering leadership to drive a strategic hiring process
•   Adaptable and able to work with changing priorities and initiatives
•   Excellent communication skills and ability establish relationships cross functionallyÂ
•   Proven track record of driving diversity initiatives and creating a high-touch, inclusive candidate experience
•   Strong analytical skills with experience creating and tracking progress against hiring plans and presenting results to leadership teams
