About the position: 

We are looking for an experienced tax professional to join a well-established tax team and lead the company’s tax planning strategy.  This role will report to the Vice President of Global Tax.

 

What you can expect to do: 

  • Manage global tax planning and restructurings to maximize tax benefits and meet operational needs, working closely with outside legal/tax advisors and cross functional teams during implementation of the structures in quantifying economic and tax benefits, reviewing legal documentation, and addressing accounting & FX implications, and other issues to ensure timely completion of the structures.
  • Manage design, modeling and implementation of legal entity rationalization and IP tax planning and restructurings.
  • Manage global intercompany transaction strategies and oversee the process of transfer pricing documentation in complying OECD and local jurisdictions’ transfer pricing requirements.
  • Work with the regional accounting and tax teams to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the transfer pricing adjustments in books and records.
  • Develop and implement global tax strategies and plans to deploy cash globally with optimization of the company’s cash taxes and effective tax rate. This requires close coordination with other finance and legal functions.
  • Assist in ensuring that tax planning initiatives are integrated into the federal compliance and tax accounting processes.
  • Assist in analyzing GILTI and FTC positions during the quarter estimates and year-end tax provision and coordinate closely with Federal Income Tax team to ensure accuracy and timeliness in providing the estimated calculations.
  • Assist as needed in global M&A activities, including tax due diligence, review of SPAs, development and implementation of operational and tax efficient acquisition/funding structures, quantification of the tax impact of the structures and tax integration efforts.
  • Analyze and timely communicate the US tax reform and foreign tax law changes and ETR impact to management.
  • Assist in strategizing major tax disputes and tax audits in various jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate with other team members on maintaining contemporaneous documentation and memos on planning and restructures.
  • Actively develop general tax technical expertise as well as special tax knowledge on the tax law changes in US federal and foreign jurisdictions. Work with external tax advisors in developing and documenting issues related to the income tax positions.
  • Assist in reviewing service agreements and responding to inquiries from business units and foreign entities.

What we are looking for:

  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.  Masters in Taxation, or J.D. preferred.
  • Experience: 8+ years directly related experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent tax research and tax technical writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work well on a cross functional team as well as operate effectively in a corporate culture.
  • Certification/Licensure:  CPA is preferred.
  • Other: Strong leadership, communication, project management and organization skills required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

 

Compensation

The annual gross base salary range for this position is $163,200.00 - $204,000.00.  Actual compensation for this position may vary and will depend on multiple factors including relevant qualifications, experience, education and geographic location. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus dependent on various factors, including and without limitation, individual and company performance in addition to base salary.
